Ye but you can still be stylish in your own way..every one is diffrent! and every one will have diffrent styles. Some guys look great in a tight T, and others look stupid because they dont naturally have broad shoulders ect....me for example I have a small head so I dont wear hats because I know I look like a tool when I wear them lol Find your style and perfect it!
Totally agree with that. As it is about finding what goes with your frame/body and who you are.

Im not sure what kind of shape your in? but If your 6"6 and thin I would do the whole rock star thing....small shirts, lots of cool jewlery, tighter fiting jeans ect ect....think british rocker. You already stand out because you are so tell so you can prob pull off darker colors.....wher as a guy who is 5"8 would want to wear somthing bright.
I am on the thin side. But I can tell you that the rocker thing will not work for me at all. For one I need jeans on the baggy side so that I can actually walk. I don't even fit in regular levis anymore (yes I know they are not high end but most clothes are made for people 6'3" or shorter). So skinny jeans are out. I do wear dark color clothes, primary dark blues primary because of my eye color is a sea blue. I don't know how tall you are, but at my height without even wearing anything "loud" I get attention due to my height. Basically imagine a girl showing off some cleavage and you basically have a rough idea to how much attention I basically get on any given day. Now imaging me wearing "loud" clothes. I am not at all against standing out, but when I get to much attention it gets real annoying real quick. This is not to say that I don't wear nice clothes to stand out as I do from time to time but I never go for the "loud" stuff.

First of all.. just say no to the bootleg jeans! Bootleg jeans have been out of style for a couple of years and girls pick up on this. As for your problem with regular fit jeans, their is a solution, you just have to be prepared to try on a whole lot of different jeans. Personally Im a sales assistants worst nightmare. with no exaduration I'll generally try on at least 20 different pairs of jeans before I find one I'm willing to purchase because the cuts are all so different so its hard to find that pair of jeans that is made just for your build. Their are some cuts of jeans that are designed to rise slightly higher around the ass and lower at the waist, this is what you want. Obveously if you want them to be relaxed in the leg you cant expect them to be tight on the ass because thats just going to look silly. So you want something that cuts in a little higher around the ass so you dont look like your ass is invisible if that makes sense.
I can't tell you how many times I had to try on 20 items before I found one that fitted me when I was growing up. Luckly I don't do this as often due to the lack of companies that cater to my height. The only jeans I have found that fitted me the best when it came to be able to walk in them and still look good in them where the straight leg jeans from Anchor Blue. Ya I know they are not high end, but my success rate with high end stuff isn't that great.

How skinny are you exactly? if your between a 32-34 inch waist you can definately pull off skinny leg jeans. Ive got a good friend whos a professional model. He's 6'5 and very slim (32 inch waist) and he always wears slim leg black jeans, pointy toed shoes, slim white t's and slim suit jackets and they look great for his build. Its all about how you pull it off. My biggest advice to tall skinny dudes is dont make the mystery mistake. Dont grow your hair long or wear long coats, long untucked shirts or anythng like that because it makes you appear longer and skinnier than you actually are.
My waist is 34 to 36 depending on the brand. But by ruler its around 34 inches. And I can't wear slim pointed shoes as I got wide feet with a width of 4E and a shoe size of 15. I did hear that some skater shoes are cut wide and so I was going to try a couple of those as my shoe selection is worse than my clothes selection which is quite limited already. I totally agree it about how you pull it off and what fits your frame/body.

try buffalo jeans....I have about at 29-28 inch waist very small! but my legs are massive because I work out and I guess I just have big legs....you will prob pay around 100 bux for the jeans but they fit perfect! I just got a pair that are "wide leg" but they dont look it because ther high quality.....if you buy cheap then "wide" leg jeans will hang off ur ass and look bad.

Let me ask you somthing....what do you like? whats your life style like? you need to feel comfortable with your style.

If I wer you I would just make sure your shirts are fitted and not to loose....if not your cloths will hang off you and people will notice more since your 6"6. Buy a couple pair of realy nice jeans! it will be hard for you to find a pair that fit you proper so once you do you might want to buy a few lol

The rest can be done with accessories....you are 6"6 so you already stand out! small guys need to try to stand out so you have that advantage! A cool looking fitted shirt, some nice jeans, nice brown shoes, fedora, and some cool jewlary....perhaps a watch or somthing.

Jurupa, as a tall guy what do you think of the above advice?

I find that longer coats (peacoat kind of length) or longer tops have the effect of making my legs look a bit shorter in relation to the upper body and therefore balancing things out.

I know we are all different. I think that my legs are long in relation to the legth of my upper body, so I may be a special case in this regard.

My legs are not fat, but they are the long part of my body hence the reason I need some room in the pants to move or else they will tighten up on me. I will see if there is a local store that sells the jeans so I can try them on and if they fit I find a pair on ebay.

I like stuff that is bold but simple in look. As far life style goes its pretty much a laid back one. And I am comfortable in my style, the problem is finding clothes that fall in the area that I am looking for style wise that also fit.

I do have a couple of designer label shirts that I do wear from time to time. But I don't like getting that dressy all the time. I wear t-shirts and shorts the most. And speaking of getting a watch I am also looking for a new one as my last one died/broke on me. And I been looking at vintage watches as they are simple and some have a boldness to them. But haven't found any that I like yet.

I agree for the most part with JamieP on this. I do have a duster that I wear from time to time when it gets cold enough, but I tend to look like a hit man or something in that direction when I wear it. The duster I have is designed for the body frame of people in Australia, which is tall and on the lean side.

I do agree 100% with the long hair thing. The only guy that I know of that can in current day pull off the long hair is Fabio. As far as the untucked shirts goes, I would more say depends on the style and where you are going or attending. Because if I am going to a fancy restaurant am going to tuck in my shirt. But if I was to go to a club with the exact same outfit I would untuck the shirt. But thats me.

For those that are helping me, which I do appreciate, to give you a better idea of my frame. If you seen Lord of The Rings my body is similar to that of the elves in that move, who where around 6'6" tall and all of them where local Australians I believe.

Im gonna have to disagree with what you say cause it does matter how your clothes fit, what it boils down to is how YOU feel in them. I cannot put on a medium or wear tan cause the tightness makes me uncomfortable (which im pretty sure will show when im talking to women.)

So IMO dont concern yourself with what "the Models" are wearing and how they fit and what in style.

just wear what you like and be clean cut.

You do have to work with you body and find the balance between what is attractive on your body and what your style is. Because looks do matter.

To the dude whos worried about his nipples always showing through his shirts this problem is easily solved, just wear a singlet underneath :) Plus having your nipples showing isnt a bad thing. I know a couple of guys who have the same problem and used to be insecure about it but to tell you the truth Ive never heard a girl comment on how pointy a guys nipples look.

Also to the guy whos wanting to start wearing shirts. It took me a long time to feel comfertable in shirts. I grew up wearing baggy t shirts so it was a big difference. Also because Im quite skinny I always felt shirts made me look ultra skinny for some reason untill I realised it was because I just couldnt find shirts that fitted me propperly. The trick is to pay a little extra and get them altered so that their tailored to fit you propperly. Have them taken in at the back, have the sleeve length cut right and in some cases even have them taken in in the arms if the sleeves are too baggy. You can even have the shoulders taken in if their too wide. It does cost you a little extra but its worth it in the long run to have that tailored look. You can also do this with your jeans as well, have them taken in at the bum, in the legs or where ever you need them taken in. The beauty of tailors is they can work wonders!
