get your friends to hit you every time you do it, thats how I usually stop doing things

That will work. You will bite ur lip, they will cause you pain. Your brian will associate biting ur lip with pain and u wont do it.

god dont get me started chewing gum again i used to be terrible with that. my friends dont want to hit me incase i hit back lol :D

Let them know that if you were chewing your lips and that's why they hit you, then you won't hit them back ever. Then hold to that.

If you mean you're biting off the skin on your lips when they're chapped, then I would suggest making sure you always carry chapstick and whenever you find yourself chewing your lips put on chapstick.
