READING A BOOK TO A KID!!! that shit is brilliant
Quote:
good question.
What I started doing to solve this problem was:
PRACTICING AROUND FRIENDS/FAMILY
- you hang out with these guys so you would be more comfortable
- no matter how much your voice cracks, they wouldn't give a damn
- they will give you feed back even if you don't ask for it wether it is verbal or non-verbal (pay attention to body language and facial expressions)
- the more you do it, you'll make it a habit.
SINGING IN THE SHOWER/CAR
- no one is around, so step out of your voice boundaries for a minute
- get loose with it. see how crazy you can get with your voice
- if girls see you singing in the car, they'll think its cute funny.
READING A BOOK TO A KID
- brother, sister, cousin, friend's brother/sister/cousin whoever. Choose words in the story to EMPHASIZE and get the kid EXCITED to listen to you.
(ex. so the big bad wolf, BLEW the little house DOWN!!!)
- if your kid is into the story, you must be doing something right. monotone stories usually bore the kid.
NOW!, go practice and make yourself proud!
