While being busy in the field, many of us can't find much time to spend online. I think a good add-on to the MPUAForum would be a RSS-Feed. This makes it easier and less time consuming for members to instantly receive updates of the forum in their favorite RSS-Feed reader.

There are many easy installeable RSS-Feed mods available for PHPBB: Google for "phpBB RSS Mods".

This is something we can think about, however I feel there might be too much information updated daily to keep up with that.

No offense, but your reply just doesn't make sense.

You said you had doubts about an RSS feed because there might be so many updates every day.

Well, it's much more challenging and time consuming to follow lots of updates to a forum if you have to use the actual forum. It's much easier if you can get an RSS feed and use a reader like Google Reader.

With Google Reader I can scan a list of headlines, and when I see something I like, I can click and read it in the Reader, or click and go straight to the forum (perhaps because I want to add something myself).

The entire point of an RSS feed is that it helps with things like forums with lots of updates. Having lots of updates is not a reason to reject having an RSS feed, it's a reason to have one.

I have no intention of clicking around this forum for hours. If you had an RSS feed I would subscribe and become involved, and so would lots of other people. You would INCREASE readership and participation if you had an RSS feed. I assume that's your goal, so let's go!
