Hey guys.. Just trying to make my first post. And after 7 unsuccessful attempts, I'm a little frustrated. I know theres need for spam control, but this is really ridiculous.. I use absolutely no URL's, even replacing URL with --- and still it fails. Can you not even mention sites.. like I said names of sites, without any dots or w's or anything.. I don't know.. but makes it difficult for a 'real' person to post with such strict restrictions, plus causes more spam by people like me now that might just post 5 BS spam msg's to get around the ridiculous filters.

Sorry for the harsh intro, but can you understand after I lose my first long post, and then continously have to tweak little stupid things only for it to keep failing again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and ... you get the point right?

Thanks! (copying and pasting just in case it rejects this too, as I'm assuming it will at this point (and I'm generally pretty optimistic ;))

Rich.

I've now posted 5 posts... went to post the original one I intended, and sure enough same problem.. It says or wait "0" days. Is this somehow actually 1 day or??

Please help w/fixing my profile.. can read my post - I tried to make actual posts, and were even probably lengthier than necessary.. Just sucks that I can't ask the one question I wanted too w/o going through Hoops.. I'm thinking I'll just go post on another forum, which sucks, as I was just getting comfortable here. Sorry for being impatient, but the system should simply work better.. but let me know. Thanks.

Hey guys , im having some trouble while trying to post anything on the forum, due to the fact that well... it just doesn't let me post anything. When i try to do so, the following message appears:
"In order to try to prevent spammers, we do not allow our users to post URLs in any form until they have posted at least 5 legitimate posts and have been with us for more than 0 days. We appreciate your understanding in this matter in order to help us eliminate spam from this forum. If you have somehow gotten this message even though you meet both of the criteria, please let us know ASAP."

The thing is, i'm not posting any URLs, just simple typed questions, and still it won't let me.. How can i fix this problem??

No I cant be arsed, im bored with this forum now. Only had one question but oh well- Seems a stupid catch 22 that the spam filtering encourages new members to spam before posting. forget it.
