It's not going to be divided... the new Chat is currently only released to members until these last few bugs are worked out.

Also the old chat did not have the capabilities to set moderation privilages for moderators... the new one does, this will allow for much better experience for all chatters as the forum rules of conduct can remain in place in the chat as well.
Will the new chat have the cam function?
That's being discussed.
