Eat more.

It might also be a Thyroid issue, in which case see your GP/Physician.

dude 8kg (17.6lbs) is stupid unhealthy

1. larger fewer meals, 3/day at about 1000 calories each and see a doctor because thats way more than a fast metabolism you could not eat for a week and not expect that kind of a drop. even if you figure a large water loss man, get to a doctor and get some blood work done.

People speed up their metabolism by eating 6 times a day. To slow down your metabolism, eat 2-3 times a day, without any snacks in between meals. It's not as healthy, but it will put your metabolism down

There's a good chance some of that is water weight too, Americans especially have very high sodium diets. a few days of lower sodium intake can reduce water retention by a lot.

Eat erratically so your body doesnt know when it's getting fed next - gorge yourself. And play everquest/world of warcraft or whatever is the big thing these days ALOT.

joking aside, dont ask for diet advice on here, go talk to a GP asap.

Original poster shouldn't be posting any advice in this section after this stupid thread.
This is a question I asked people when I was 13-14.

You need a fast metabolism to put on lean mass, but if you wanna be fat, slow it down

Well this is slightly out of order if it was directed at me.
Im pretty Happy With the results I see in the Gym everything has gone from tiny on me to being frikken huge and lean ( granted Ive only been going the gym for 4 months). I have a wealth of knoledge about the body , however we cant all be know it alls so when something mysterious happens like loosing a lot of weight in a week I will panic and I will blaim my metabalism as it is the rate of metabalism = energy production via krebs cycle which produces the amount of energy for BMR and everyday movements and exercieses which include the combustion of phospholipids and protiens. It is the combustion of phosopholipids and protiens which scared me as too much of this may have been the reason for me of loosing 8 lbs and thus slowing my metabalism would allow me to conserve more weight. You see my logic right ?

update no further weight loss and gradual weight gain has increased. Im quite scared for this to happen again though.

You know what comes out to 8lbs? A gallon of water. And that's how much water you should be drinking if you're working out hard.

If you don't want a fast metabolism, stop lifting weights. Working your muscles burns more calories and make them burn more fuel. Developed muscle results in a faster muscle. So it's up to you, do you want to be just big? or fit?

Everything I've seen you post in this forum is copy&pasta, nothing original or from personal experience. With only 4 months experience in the gym, you have no business giving advice on how people should work out.

Show me the sources I have stole my knoledge from, this should be fun , I reallllllllllllllly want you to back this claim up . The reason I know so much about this is I train with semi professional Rugby players who are all built like brick shit houses , who all study sports science. I myself Have studied Biology and Human Biology for a period of 3 years, have been involved in Rugby, football, athletics ,Basketball, ju-jitsu , Karate , boxing teams . I have knoledge from experience and in essence have been training for a great deal of my life.

Sorry I should have posted that I started it up again 4 months ago

I am quite eager to see why you believe you should be able to tell me that I can't give advice and what past experiences have inflaited your ego so big enough for you to say this. Also on a reply to a post were you were going against my previous advice ( because you seem realy mature) you were telling the guy to do Anerobic exercises Im sorry but thats retarded.

You obviously don't know about sprints. And sprints are considered anaerobic. And sprints burn fat faster than long slow distance AND build muscle. My other source of this is a boxer I used to work with who was BIG into speedwork.

Your workout program is also the Dorian Yates Blood and Guts workout, so you're just regurgitating what you saw on Bodybuilding.com

I've worked at a gym before, I've done Muay Thai, Boxing, MMA and in High School, I ran Cross Country and Wrestled. In 2009, I placed 2nd in the WKA North American Tournament - I know a thing or two about cutting weight and burning fat.

Never used that website for my self. Dont you think If I used body building sites I would have posted this question on one of their forums ? So dont give me that bullshit.
I get all my training programmes from the people I train withthat devlop them themselves in university using a combination of hypertrophy sessions and strength building sessions to get maximum gains.

As for the sprinting , sprininng burns a hell of a lot of kalories , this does not mean to say that you are burning fat , you are just using your immideate source of energy and not fat because sprininng as you quite rightly said is an anerobic exercise which is pointless for burning fat.

Aerobic exercises however are the best for burning fat and I quote from wikipedia
Quote:
Aerobic respiration requires oxygen in order to generate energy (ATP). Although carbohydrates, fats, and proteins can all be processed and consumed as reactant, it is the preferred method of pyruvate breakdown in glycolysis and requires that pyruvate enter the mitochondrion in order to be fully oxidized by the Krebs cycle
The important part to pick up on that stament is the use of fats in aerobic cellular respiration.

To further my point
Quote:
Anaerobic respiration is a form of respiration using electron acceptors other than oxygen
Oxygen is a key requirement for the breakdown of phospholipids (fats)

Ive even made a graph illustrating maximum yield of respiration
http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/37 ... respir.jpg

Hence why jogging , cycling , swimming, powerwalking are a hell of a lot better than sprinting . BOOM!

Aerobic is a slow burning method of losing fat
Anaerobic is much faster, but harder on our body

You ever seen how little body fat sprinters have? Why do you think that is?

Of course, you wouldn't understand because you're posting this stupid question. I don't think the realize the more you work your muscle, the hungrier your body gets and starts burning fat for fuel. But you wouldn't want that since you want to slow down your metabolism and all.
