whats up everyone,

So I've read a lot of things on this forum on "how to gain weight" since I'm a skinny. I've been doing boxing intensely for about 8 months (sparring, endurance training and all that kind of stuff) but I didn't gain any weight but a lot of muscle definition. Now I've heard that I need to eat at least 5 -6 small meals a day, but I don't know what 5 -6 "small" meal is, could it be like little snacks?

So for people who was on the same boat as me, what did you do? What was your diet program like? By that I mean, what did you eat when you wake up?

Give me your schedule so I can have a better view on what to do and what to eat.

thanks guys!

If you are skinny, forget about watching portions, forget about watching your diet.

You need to be EATING, a lot. The only two things you should avoid are alcohol and sugary drinks. EVERYTHING else is permissible if you are the skinny type who finds it impossible to put on mass.

Need me to be more specific? Try this:

Protein: Lean Beef, Pork, Chicken, Turkey, Tuna, Cottage Cheese, Egg Whites, Fish, Protein Powder

Carbohydrates: VEGETABLES (EVERY COLOR PLEASE), multi-grain breads/bagels, oats (steel cut or quick oats), fruits (the most caloric dense you can find prunes, dates, raisins, berries), whole-wheat pasta, brown or white rice, sweet potatoes, yams, and Ezekiel products.

Fats: Olive Oil, Egg Yolks, Fish Oil, Flax Oil, Nuts, Natural Peanut Butter, Almond Butter, and Avocados.

How much should you really be eating?

Try this equation on for size:

(20)*(Bodyweight) = Target Daily Caloric Intake.

Let's say you're 150 pounds. Forget 2000 calories a day. Try 3000 calories a day.

That's a shit ton of food. It'll be hard, but if you want to put on weight you HAVE TO EAT. If you're finding it hard to meet this target...

The quickest and fastest way to put on weight is this super secret suplement, known as "GOMAD". You won't find it GNC, or Vitamin Shop. It's kept close to every body builder on the planet for fear of it leaking to the general public. Every actor in Hollywood uses it. It's amazing... actually, only half of the above is true.

GOMAD stands for gallon of milk a day.

That's right: drink a gallon of milk a day. It WILL add mass to you, put keep in mind it will up your body fat. However, the benefits of putting on mass if you are working out will outpace the fat. You can try lower fat milks to reduce this further.

Once you are eating a shit load, it won't do you much good if you're not lifting.

Hands down, the BEST BEGINNERS PROGRAM is known as the 5x5 program. It focuses on quickly building STRENGTH throughout your core to build a STRONG foundation for future programs. I honestly can't recommend this highly enough:

If you have ANY questions feel free to PM me or post here and I can give you more info.

Right advise from Mobrinks.

But will it work?

It didnt for me.

I've always been skinny growing up.

Im more of an athletic-built right now but still slender and I've wanted to gain more weight(fat)over past 3 or so years.

Funny story:

Another slender friend and I decided we were gonna put on weight the old-fahsion way/reckless way-eat fatty food.

So honestly,on a 2 months stretch in a row,we ate burgers & French fries every day,6 times weekly(excluding Sundays) for 2 months.

And can you believe,no friggin' weight gain.

We ate the junk food after 9 pm.

And remind you, that's after eating 3 meals during the day(breakfast, lunch & dinner).

Not 1 friggin' pound!!

So if eating fattening-saturated foods(junk)wont put on lbs.,I dont think 1,000 cans of tuna would do it.

Im being real.

Only real solution I see is suppliments.

Few years ago I tbought a tub of creatine.

Honestly, after 2 days of using it(mixed into my drinks),I gained crazy body mass.

Only thing is,you have to keep working out or exrcizing as you take creatine.

I stopped taking it for no reason and lost the mass.

If you watch pro-boxing,I was a like Pacquaio's size(welther)turned into Roy Jones' size(light-heavy weight).

Another example:if you watch MTV's Jersey Shore,I was like Sammy's size and turned in Pauly D less than a week.

After just 2-3 days of taking a cheap- brand of creating suppliment powder.

I was visibly larger in arms, biceps & chest.

You know when you've gained or lost weight, you wont really see it but others will?

Well,I visibly seen the added body mass.

Im not saying gaining mass naturally wont work but it never worked for me.

Creatine is a supplement that increases water retention within muscles, it DOES NOT build muscle mass. Once you stop taking it, the results go away.

@Mobrinks-True,I'd mentioned that once I stopped taking it and stopped working out,the mass fell off in few weeks.

But as long as you're persistent, you'll retain the mass.

If your eating normal then your weight should be in proportion with your height and metabolism etc

So unless you can improve your diet, you would simply put on weight in places such as neck, stomach etc. Also as its genetic you would have to keep up this intake of food or you will lose it.

It basically usually comes down to genetics unless of course your over eating etc So hit the gym instead pal! Harder but will look more appealing
