Im planning to start going to the gym twice a day. Once in the morning later in the night. Should I do cardio in the day and weights in the night or vice versa? Or will it make a difference?

Never to rarely. High Intensity Resistance training is better. If you do "cardio" before you do "weights" you tap your energy and recoverabilty resources.

Cardio first thing in the morning for a max of 30 minutes, before eating anything at all! Literally wake up, get dressed, a glass of water, then run. Simple as that.

In that time period your body will have no calories to burn, as muscle fuel, so will start to burn fat stores. After 30 minutes of cardio, however, you will start to burn muscle tissue, so Id keep it down to as little as an intense 20 minutes of cardio.

This is partly true.
If you are doing cardio in the morning, do a low intensity one at max 75% RHM (jogging or even fast walking depends on the body type and fitness state), on empty stomach (water or green tea + C vitamin allowed), for no more than 1hour and not less than 30minutes.

Otherwise do it after the weights when your glycogen reserve is depeleted and the body is using body fat for fuel. Again really low intensity cardio...

Another option is to do HIIT (interval training) on your non weights day, but not on an empty stomach and not in the morning, unless you want an ethiopian style look (no offense).

The best solution is to combine all of this approaches and rotate them.

Just had an interesting remider from a female friend. Her fitness regime was to F**k Herself Thin.

Just slam up the sex and get energetic with it. In my opinion there's very little that can work your whole body as an all over workout. Also, you get to do cardio all night long haha.

I lost 4.75 stone running less than 1 mile every morning. (I was a fat kid) went from a 42" waist down to 28" in less than 7 months. High intensity will also hype your metabolism for the rest of the day.

Exercise in the morning, eat more in the day, and still lose weight! What's not to like?!

morning cardio session, as the first response said. because then you start burning fat straight away and not just calories, as you would when you go at night.

And then at night hit a good wheight session. and since running doesnt use your ceratine resources its all good.

the most important thing:
1) eat
2) sleep
3) lift heavy
4) profit
