I have a specific questions about workout

Hey all,
I got a question about working out. I remember watching the movies American Gigolo and Deuce Bigalow (part one), and both the main guys in there work out with one of those strange hanging things from the ceilings to which they link their feet (sorry that I don't know what it is called), so my questions are:

1. What is that 'thing' called?
2. I figured it mainly helps your upper body & stomach muscles, is that right?
3. Does it actually work or is it a waste of time
and 4. Where could I get one of those (in Europe)?

Hanging or inverted situps is what they are commonly called.

1. anything you can hang from Ive seen people do them from a heavy bag or monkey bars look on youtube.

2. The ideas is to work you stomach.

3. Id say they dont work as well as to the fact that u naturally bend your hips when doing them.

4. no idea.

Thanks a lot, just the name already allowed me to google it and I found some information and places to buy them (just amazon :D ), thanks again
