So i've started working out again. Before i was really just doing cardio and stopped when my work situation changed and i had to pick up the pace at school. Anyhow, got it all together and now i'm working out at my apartment's small gym.

Right now i'm about 6'4 275lbs and really just trying to get rid of my stomach weight/get toned.

The gym consists of two treadmills, two ellipticals, two different bike machines, a lat pull down station, a stand up pulldown machine w/ several attachments, a chest press, an upper back macine, and a few different leg machines.

Lately my work out has just been alternated between a few of the weight machines and finishing with 10-12 minutes of cardio on the ellipticals. All said and done i spend about 20-30min in the gym each morning or every other morning.

I dont suppose anyone has any suggestions on a path i should take?

You're not spending anywhere near enough time in the gym.

You should be doing around 30-40 minutes of cardio alone. Free weights are a lot better than those machines, the problem with those machines is that generally you are training the muscles in isolation which won't stress your body much. Compound movements which can be done with free weights will stress the body a lot harder, up testosterone, push the heart rate and that'll help you lose weight faster.

You probably should consider a diet plan too. I'm guessing you probably eat pretty bad and you need to balance things, eat better foods and adjust your caloric intake.

If anything I'd recommend you call up a personal trainer to come to you that can help you plan a workout based on the equipment you have available.

I'm sure those machines arent the best, but the location makes a huge difference in motivation. walking a minute from my apartment to a nice quiet gym vesus driving cross town to an annoying gym filled with annoying bros.

I've been changing my diet a little bit at a time. As of now the only time i eat fast food is lunch time at work. Which i wanna change when i can figure out a healthy meal that can sit in a warm car for 5 hours and not taste like shit.
