Supplements dont work they all flush out in your urine. Eat a balanced diet, amino acids are over-hyped, carbs (glucose -> Glycogen) are they primary source of muscle. Eat a balanced diet get adequate recovery time plus time for growth. Make sure your training intensity is high as well.

RVAIS is right about just eating healthy and such, but I am using PURPLE-K Creatine Pills which are the only pill form of creatine that evenly distributes through your body. Yes it does work but you also have to drink a lot of water depending on how much you take, 1 gallon a day is what I recommend. I have used Purple-K for a few months it ADDS weight but that is only because of water retention which makes you look more bulky in a way but Creatine really comes in handy is if you workout to the point of EXHAUSTION meaning your body starts shaking and you can see your muscles twitching like I do, is that normally your body has these cells that feed your body the energy etc..etc.. and it eventually gets used up until you rest after. But with creatine it will pretty much help you go for a better workout not meaning you can life 2x more weight but your cells are being helped by this supplement and it gives your body more energy to push through maybe a few more reps. When I started used it at first I did not even feel a burn or pain but my muscles would just be unable lift anymore (meaning its time to stop) and the next day it felt like I had an amazing workout. So yes Creatine can work but I only recommend Creatine that evenly gets distributed throughout the body and doesn't retain water in random places. So in the end yes I would recommend it and the energy boost you get is noticable after the first week I say of constant use.

This is totally subjective, but I tried Creatine for a while and it seemed to help me push myself further, ie. 2-3 more reps than I could without it. I think that's enough of a difference to suggest it does something.

However I didn't find the difference was really worth the bother. I also found it did bloat me a bit, and I naturally seem to carry extra water so I didn't like that much.

If you are at your limits as a natural bodybuilder I think pretty much anything is worth a shot. Most likely since you are asking, you're not really looking to be super huge and therefore it's not going to make much difference for you. That said it's very cheap and it won't do anything bad, other than probably making you carry a bit of extra water.

Supplements in general aren't necessary for most people, even when training very hard, and most of us get more than enough protein, etc. in our diets just eating normally. A glass of flavoured milk post workout is good enough for pretty much everyone.

I bought something similar to what MrArcher has, but you mix it with water, drink it about 35minutes before you workout, and it helps your muscles rebuild bigger/quicker, and helps you get more reps out of your workout. I've used it for about a week and i'm already up about 3pounds of muscle and can already tell i'm getting more out of my workout, and the friend who recommended it has used it for over a year, and hes put on a good 35pounds of pure muscle. I think its effects are very personal though, some people will notice a difference some wont.

Creatine works, but you have to use it right.

Take it before and after training with LOTS of water (One serving mixed into 12oz, but keep adding water as you drink it, maybe a total of 24oz)
Drinks LOTS of water during the day (1.5 - 2 gallons)
Make sure you take protein as well
And make sure the training you're doing is intense enough to require assistance from Creatine

headphones, Sounds like powder form creatine the way he explains it. Difference is some use pills some use powder either way its normally mixed with water and you drink ALOT of water. But if it is creatine that isn't adding muscle unless hes using Glutamine which sounds alot like creatine kinda from the way hes explaining but yea.

I'm no expert about health and fitness when it comes to supplementation, but I am a health and exercise science major.

I can tell you that creatine monohydrate is an effective and fairly cheap bodybuilding supplement. Some people prefer pill form while other would rather take powder. The only difference is if you take pills then you end up having to take more servings. I recommend taking 20 g of creatine/day after a 5 day loading phase. if you take pills you can take 5 pills a day if each pill has 4 g in it. There is no difference in uptake of creatine in the pill or powder form, however; it is better to take creatine with glucose because insulin helps mediate creatine intake.

Benefits:
Creatine is a nautural amino acid in the body. Your body synthesizes most of your creatine and the other portion is dietary. By supplementing with creatine your body's nautural reserves will become fuller and ATP production in the body will occur at a faster rate. In the end people who supplement with creatine will be able to pump out those last 2-3 reps or lift just a little more weight.

Side Effects:
The only side effects reported from creatine usage are extra water retention and possible dehydration. when supplementing with creatine it is best to increase the amount of water you drink on a daily basis. You will become a little more bloated while you are using creatine, so I suggest you take it for 3 months during the winter or bulking months then stop and you will lose the water weight. It is also possible to damage some muscle tissue while working out with creatine because your body will be able to lift more than you have been able to in the past.

Cheers!

Creatine is a proven and effective supplement, but there are cases in which there have been non-responders.

Creatine helps with water retention, which some people may see as a negative; however, this is a good thing - as you muscles retain more water, strength gains follow. These gains let you lift more, resulting in better gains in overall size and strength.

Whoever said supplements are useless and flushed out doesn't know what they are talking about. Creatine is flushed out as creatanine, the byproduct of creatine.

I say give it a shot - there are a bunch of different creatines available, from the generic creatine monohydrate to creatine ethyl esthers. I'm currently on SizeOn, and am loving it.

Good luck.

I do not reccomend you the uses of creatine.
samply that.

why?
1. a quality product will cost (in montreal, canada) around 50 to 60$.
2. even if you pay 150$ for your creatine, still check how much of it is creatine and how much is not BCAA or sugar. you'll be surprised
3. creatine is created naturally by your system. using supplement that do the job your system must do will just weaken your source of antural creatine and the more you'll take it, the more your body will assume you don't need to create natural one anymore. what's going then? you take creatine for NORMAL result and no more for OPTIMAL results.

but you won't die of it, you wont get any cancer or you'll not loose your testes because of that. i just not recommend it.

It can be a very effective supplement, but can also cause harm to you if taken improperly. Remember to follow the directions. You need to drink a lot of water when taking creatine, because it causes your muscles to grow quicker. Your muscles will absorb the water in your body to make them more elastic. If you don't drink enough water you will tear muscles. I know, I tore muscles when I started using it and its not fun.

I would recommend a balanced diet and a good workout routine. Whey protein also helps. Your body needs protein to build muscle. Check out mens health website. they have tons of free workout routines. Bodybuilding.com also does.

One supplement I would recommend is a good multivitamin. Also, I've been using NaNo Vapor for some time now. It really gives you a drive to work out harder and seems to increase strength after you take it. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ON THE CAN. I've taken too much before and I've seen friends take too much and the effects are fun. It's like liquid crack. You can't sit still. When it says take one scoop the first week, only take one scoop. work up with it.

Hope this helps.
