I have been going to the gym for a long time and usually spend anywhere from 1 to 2 hours a day hitting the weights and doing cardio. I am a good size, but I am not as big as I would like. My goal is to be as big as the Rock. Sometimes I will see guys in the gym who are pretty big and then I find out that most of them are using steroids. That is one thing I will not do. I was wondering if it is humanly possible to get a good size without steroids.

It is possible to become really big without steroids but it is hard to be huge and ripped at the same time without them.

Genetics is also major factor. Some can achieve fantastic results without roids which some others can`t even with roids.

Anyhow, with proper diet and suplementation and with persistance in training, you can achieve great results naturaly.

Thats the money right there. Its all to do with how much hormones etc your body can naturally produce.
Focus on working the really big muscle groups, thighs. Dont over train either, 1-2 hours a day is way to much. Your body needs to rest rest rest.
Training less but more intensly is better, when you work for to long, your body produces the "break down" hormone to much, and if your doing that every day, the "build up" hormone doesnt work.
Work out how much protine you should be eating, loads of kals and water.

All very good points as usual. The biggest factor is how large of a person you are to start, not exactly your weight but just your total size. Its a lot easier for someone like myself (6'1 220lbs) to become huge and ripped than say someone who was 5'8 and 130lbs. Your body needs fat to convert into muscles building energy, if you have a super fast metabolism its going to be difficult to produce that fat to turn into muscle. You can try the standard weight gainers (createne ect.) but sometimes its just not in the cards. On the bright side in my experience most women don't like bodybuilder looking guys, toned and athletic bodies are ideal.

I want to thank all of you for your feedback. It has been very helpful. According to PonyBoy, I should have a pretty good chance at getting to be a decent size. Not that I consider myself small. I am 6'3" and about 230 lbs. This may sound kind of silly, but despite all that, I have never really saw myself as a good sized person. But I guess we are our own worst critics. But as you pointed out, most women don't like bodybuilder looking guys. There is such a thing as being too big. I would probably like to gain about 10 more pounds of muscle and then just focus on being toned.

Bodybuilding is 60% Nutrition, 30% working out, and 10% rest. It is VERY possible to become huge without 'roids. I have seen skinny guys(125 lbs at most, low bf%) turn into 180-190 lb. monsters over the span of 1 1/2 to 2 years. Working out and "getting big", bulkin, cutting, etc. is ALL about nutrition.

Just push yourself at the gym, improve your diet and you'll keep on growing.

i would say yeah but 30% is if you are training hard, heavy, and good form. which most people pretend to do.

if you get got 1-2hrs more then 4 times a week your not training hard enough.

smoking and drinking also plays a huge roll.

With 3 day/week (up to 1hour) workout, right nutrition for bulking(meaning 50% complex carbs / 30% protein / 20% quality fats) and the right suplements you should have a consistent weight gain.

Again though, as mentioned earlier it comes down to genetics (calves for instance, rely heavily on genetic predispositions)

try eating alot of good fats this has always worked for me, my brother, and anyone else ive told. good fats though poly or mono unsaturated. caliores add up quicker and you will not put on body fat.

natural peanut butter, nuts, oils, flax, avacado, olives, etc...

Your question has already been answered correctly, Yes it's possible but only with Genetics, Knowledge and Effort (Hard Work).

Clean Bulk, eat clean, train hard and give it time.

Colorado Experiment. That's the way to put it on.

Tim Ferriss outlines it in the link below

It's much easier to hack life. Less is more. :)

I dont have a clue as to your knowledge or regime so all i can suggest without the relevant background is eating at the right times, if you want to get big, eat big, it's that simple, create a clean calorific surplus, at least 6 meals a day each rich in protein and limit carbs to the morning, before and after a workout. (some people fit more protein in by waking up early for a protein shake and then going back to sleep again, never tried it but it sounds beneficial). Anyways, in no way is this meant to be patronising, i just didnt know how much you knew so ignore it if you know it lol.

try legal steroids. More commonly known as prohormones etc. I took one cycle and put on close to 15 pounds in the first 2 weeks. Kept about 12 pounds after I got off it. Side effects aren't as scary as the illegal shit. I had a few but they all went away in a few weeks. good stuff. take trenadrol. pretty mild form.
