I just wanted to fill everyone in on my shaving routine, which also doubles as my anti-acne routine, as well as general facial care routine.

First of all, if you have any sort of acne at all, I can almost promise you that this routine will help. This routine will also almost totally eliminate any razor burn you may be getting.

If you have a routine already, and your face is doing fine with it, then great, stick with it. Maybe you just have naturally easy-to-shave skin.

So, I'm a huge supporter of Neutrogena for Men. They have awesome products, they're a little pricey, but nothing too bad. I also use Dollar Shave Club, they send me 4 razors a month.

After showering, I start my shaving.

I first use Neutrogena Razor Defense Face Scrub. It has some pumice type stuff in it, and preps your face for shaving. I also rub this all over my face to give it all a "pre-scrub" of sorts. Follow the directions.

Next, I use the Neutrogena Sensitive Skin Shave Cream. Now this is important, there are a lot of different shaving creams on the market, and this type is the best one. This is basically if shaving cream were more of a lotion. When I first started shaving, I used actual shaving cream. Then I switched to shaving gel; which I am sure many of you use. But this Shaving Cream comes in a squeeze bottle, and is simply a lotion that mildly lathers into a cream to shave with. If you have not tried it, then I cannot suggest enough that you get on the bandwagon and give this stuff a shot. THIS is what makes the difference in a smooth, close shave without the razor bumps. You don't know what you're missing. I squeeze a quarter size amount into my palm, and spread it on the area to shave. I then do my normal shaving with my Dollar Shave Club razor.

I then towel off the remainder.

Next I use the Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash. I wet my hands, then squeeze a dime sized amount into my palm, I then lather in my hands for a second, give it a tiny shot of water to increase lather, then I scrub my entire face with the face wash for about thirty to forty five seconds. Afterward I rinse with hot water, then towel off.

Finally. I use the Neutrogena Razor Defense Post Shave Lotion. I squeeze about a nickel size amount into my palm, then really work it into my entire face.

I find that after all of this, my lips need to moisture, so I use simple Chap Stick, and I'm done.

A couple of other things: If you're not lotioning every time you get out of the shower, you should start. You would be surprised how dry your skin actually is. I keep a bottle of simple Equate Advanced Recover Skin Care Lotion handy all the time, I use it probably two to three times a day, and absolutely after I shower, on my feet, hands, and arms.

You'll need to restock the neutrogena about once a month. The post shave lotion can disappear more quickly if you use too much. Just a dab will do you.

Here's the four products I use:

I'm curious if anyone else has a specific routine they like to stick to.
