Am I using my creatine properly?

So, I started training a couple of months ago. I didn't take any protein, creatine or whatever since I eat enough proteins with in my everyday nutrition. When I came back from xmas break, I bought C.G.P. creatine (Creatine Glycerol Phosphate) from Metabolic Nutrition to give it a try.

I have only a basic knowledge about creatine, but the employee who sold it to me told me that this type of creatine doesn't cause water retention and apparently, it is a more efficient form of creatine... He also told me to take one scoop on training days 30-40 minutes before working out.

Is it the way to use it? 1 scoop on working days 40 minutes before working out. I read at some places online that I should also take a scoop on non-training days but does it apply for this product?

I don't know if it's relevant, but FYI I'm 6'0" and 160 pounds

It really doesn't matter what time of the day you take your creatine,
the important thing is that you take it daily so your muscles are saturated
with it..

Oh and take it with grape juice too, not a shake or water.

Personally i do 5g Post-Workout with 200ml grape juice

Are you sure that Creatine Glycerol Phosphate needs to be taken daily like monohydrate creatine?

apologies, misread it.

from what i've heard all these other types of creatine provide the same
results as monohydrate but are a hell of a lot more expensive but as for how this ones taken
i'm not 100% sure, sorry.
