I was wondering if anyone had some tips on how to maintain my energy levels.
My life is going great at the moment. I'm at the heart of my social group, I workout, I work hard and I'm living a fairly well balanced life.

The only issue I've got is maintaining enough energy to do everything I want to in a day. Often I'm just too tired and find myself either avoiding things or doing them badly.
For example I'll go out for a drink with a girl or friend and we'll be chatting. I'll be telling stories and listening and everything can be great, but then my mind starts to wander I feel drowsy and ended up failing to give the person the attention they deserve and that I want to give them.

My sleep pattern isn't fantastic but I tend to get 6-7 hours a day. Is there anything that could help me going other than doing less with my days?

this is 100% related to diet.

most of us get all our energy from glucose (sugar), which can be a problem because it's not a very efficient fuel and just doesn't last long. So most of us need to keep eating every few hrs or our energy levels drop and we feel fatigued.

If you lower your carbohydrate intake and up your saturated fat intake, then you will have much more energy and for longer (you get more energy from fat molecules than glucose).

Research Paleo + SPAM diets.

Red gala apples always make me feel good and ready to do a lot of things without any side-effects (Unlike energy drinks), excersise helps too, I ocassionally hit the gym and go for a 20 min jog on the treadmill with ocassional sprinting, basically pushing myself hard but not too hard, it does feel tough on the muscles but seems to release a nice burst of mental energy. I do advise to eat something light an hour before a workout (Some fruit, a yogurt or even just a tablespoon of peanut-butter) and of course eat again as soon as you can after a workout (A healthy dinner or sandwich should do) Always be sure to change, shower and hydrate with water after each workout, it works for me anyway :)

boroca(supermarket) after two days you notice a vague difference and iv been taking co-enzyme q10 200mg (pharmacist) and try eating smaller amounts more often, when your belly is full it uses a lot of energy for digestion, think ho sleepy you get after a big Sunday roast.
