there is no proper things to eat for hair growth, we just eat proper and healthy diet, because as the food is responsible for the growth of our body , same it also provide strength to our hairs. one thing which i mention is that the green vegetables provide a great support in growth of hair.

If you want to grow more hair, you should eat protein-rich foods like yogurt, cheese, milk, eggs and fish. Soy products are also good source of protein.

Use a razor blade and cut off all your hair or find an old style barber to do it. Anyway scalping off your hair makes it grow back stronger same as your beard. I used to have very thin hair until I started doing that. But I don't think this will make you have more hair but just thicker hair. Worth a try if you don't mind going completely bald for a year. And rub garlic on your hair after you cut it. Sounds weird but it works, I had a friend who used to have a bald spot because of an accident when I saw him years later the bald spot he had disappeared and he then told me that technique. The garlic does burn though but no pain no gain, hehe.

Good luck.

Keep your ends trimmed regularly (at least every 8 weeks) to ensure the hair healthy while its growing. This will help it look thicker too. If you're intending to grow it long long, don't tuck it behind your ear or tie it back too much, as this will put a kink in your hair and can put strain on your roots.
