I HATE HATE HATE using my ADD as a crutch but lately I've been thinking that the reason I can't go over 1-2 months of steady working out/exercising is I get bored due to having ADD. Anyone else ever experience this?
I did P90X for a month, liked it, then missed 2 days due to my grandfather's funeral and just fell out of it. Anyone have insights?

Weight training was how I got over ADHD, not Adderall Adderall XR, Vyvyance or Foculin. The idea of doing a certain amount of reps of the same motion and following an organized workout plan is hell for an ADHD mind, but you will build mental tenacity along with whatever physical gains you reap from training.

I stopped taking ritalin when I was 11 (be 28 on Wed). When i was 14 I worked out for 6 months straight, got great results...now I can only go 2 months at the gym and I fall out of it.

If it's group, like my rowing club or basketball, I'll go a lot...need to find exercise groups to join.

Better to get a training partner

I have ADD so severe I am taking the maximum amount recommended for a man my size and I LOVE weightlifting. I've also found that weightlifting helps my clarity and memory.

The problem is most likely that you just don't like working out, hence, calling ADD a "crutch," when it isn't really the main problem. It's well-known that a significant percentage of people stop going to the gym for one reason or another, but this is the first time I heard of ADD being used as an excuse. Good lord, if you get bored of one exercise or piece of equipment, just go do something different. IT'S A GYM, there's tons of stuff to do there.

I think your problem was p90x, because it is so strict.

I workout 3 days a week and most of the time its Monday, Wensday, Friday. But sometimes I can't do Friday or make it up saturday (which I hate) so I just do Friday's Workout on Sunday.

If your actually working out, not on some FAD p90x DVD, missing 2 days will actually HELP you. Also like others have said lets say Monday is Chest and Triceps there is 100s of excerises you can do, switch it up. Hell take a week off and make Monday legs it doesn't matter.
