Some of the advice has been good but let me address a few things.
To lose weight (and increase health) the most important factor is to limit carbohydrates.
Carbs (which are basically sugar/glucose in our bodies) have a direct effect on insulin sensitivity which leads to all kinds of medical conditions, including weight gain.
When we are sufficiently low in carbs the body enters a state called SPAM, a much healthier way for the body to operate where fat is the main source of energy, instead of relying on glucose which spikes insulin.
Under 100g of carbs a day has been proven to trigger weight loss, under 50g and one will aggressively lose weight.
Under 72g a day has shown to dramatically increase health, along with alleviating (and even curing) symptoms of type-2 diabetes.
This all presupposes ZERO sugar in the diet (alcohol is sugar, sorry).

It is also a myth that saturated fat is bad for us. This is simply not true according to science.
You do not need to stress about restricting calories, but you do need to watch carb intake and protein intake (excess protein will convert to glucose). You can basically eat as much saturated fat as you like and lose weight. (I can personally vouch for this). The great thing about eating this way is that fat is very sating so you get full very quickly (and stay fuller for longer). Exercise is not nearly as important as you may think, exercising also does not always make one healthier.
Diet is key.

I can't recommend this enough. I alss suggest only to recommend something once you've seen ample evidence/studies that show its effectiveness. It doesn't matter how many times you've heard something said on TV or repeated by friends, doesn't make it true or helpful. In fact it could be a huge waste of time or a step backwards.

Also nobody should make extreme changes to their diet without first knowing exactly why and what they are doing. Read up on the subject and research as much as possible to prevent further unnecessary suffering.

We usually lead a wrong life. We don't control our eating and drinking habit. And as a result, we become fat and sick. But we can safe ourselves by leading a control life style. Eating balance diet, fresh fruits, drinking 6-8 glass of water per day, running in the morning or afternoon, taking exercise etc. are very effective for weight loss.

Water is good for health but normal water is not able to reduce our weight so you can use boiled water for weight loss.
Also take Shakeology in place of breakfast and daily do some walking .It's working.

More and more information about weight loss are mentioned in this blog. I also want to add some more tips for weight loss.
Try breathing exercises. You might be surprised to know that breathing exercises too can lead to weight loss. If you are doing the breathing exercises properly, you will find that you can exert a lot of pressure on the muscles around the mid section.
You can feel a tightening of these muscles each time you breathe in or breathe out. So go ahead and breathe properly, it is good for you.

I put on weight easy so my tips that work are:

1) Excercise like a dog - at least 2 hours a day.
2) Eat only veggies or fish.
3) run at a calorie defecit.
4) dont have junk days.
5) if you stuff up, its not the end of the world, plan to fail.
6) Morning excercise if possible as well as evening.

Lots of women walk about & go to gyms.

The biggest thing of all is that everyone is different, what works for me will not work for someone else. Some guys I know look like they spend hours in a gym when in actual fact they spend hours in Mcdonalds.

Anyone who says "this is the way to do it" is wrong because they do not know how you work.

For me I have to excercise like crazy & eat next to nothing for the weight to come off. Calorie counting does work for me but it has to be the right type of calories as well.

1/2 a kilo of tomatoes is roughtly 100 calories versus 60 grams of Peanut butter which is more than 250 calories etc.

Once basic one to do is
cardio
this can be walking,running or bike
for 45 mins a day

have 3-4 meal small size and healthy like lots of green and protein
BUT on Big thing is once a week have and full English breakfast something with high calorie to keep your metabolism high

oh any try green tea with lemon witch help metabolism
(dont have to have the lemon)

and insulin resistance is directly related to too much glucose = sugar = carbohydrates.
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO UNDERSTAND IF YOU WANT TO LOSE BODY FAT.

You can exercise for ZERO hours a week, but if you stop eating sugar and limit carbohydrates to less than 100g a day, then you will lose body fat.

mrbiggles suggested exercising 2hrs a day - this is silly, counterproductive, a waste of time, and could possibly cause injury.

I constantly see people at the gym sweating away on cardio machines every single day, yet their bodies don't change. It's because they keep eating the same shit.

It's not a joke when you hear that 80-90% of body composition comes down to diet.

It's very useful weight loss tips, I also have some useful weight loss tips... For weight loss exercise is most important part of this purpose, you should take exercise regularly and also you should take green tea, and also you should avoid fast foods, like seafood, meat, all kinds of healthy foods, you should eat that foods, which quantity your stomach can digest easily ...

1. Do walk regularly.
2. Do 30 minute running in the morning.
3. Eat less quantity food.
4. Drink more then 10 glass of water in a day.
5. Eat fruits and vegetables.

People should not try to eat any kind of supplement for losing weight,only use light weight diet.
Make a regular early morning walk.
Use all natural food and avoid oily stuff.
keep in touch with gym or any sports activity in regular routine.

Nice post.For weight loss try to do exercise or yoga daily.Avoid oily foods and meat and can take meal replacement drinks for fast result.

Losing weight has always been mentally and emotionally draining, but with these tips,
it will help reduce weight lot faster:
Eat lots of fruit, preferably before your meals.
Never drink cold water after eating.
Tomatoes are known to work wonders.
Drinking honey and hot water daily helps to reduce weight faster.
Drink plenty of green tea.
Garlic also helps to shed some extra weight.
