It's much healthier working out your entire body rather than isolating muscle groups. I like that I can do it outdoors most of the year or at home. I can do 15-20 minutes if I don't have much time during the day.
I used to be a gym rat but could never get defined abs. Always in the bulking phase. With calisthenics I'm gaining muscle and cutting. Also there are cool tricks to work towards, like muscle-ups and hand stands.
I eat a paleo diet and feeling better than ever. Going back to the gym feels like I'm in a cage.
When I do make it to a gym, it's because my friend invited me and I usually end up out lifting them.
Discovering calisthenics has changed my life.
