I recently got into the rhythm of completing life and personal goals. Some of these goals overlap but there is 1 goal in particular that I'm finding hard; my lifestyle goal. In particular, looking awake and having more energy.

All the way through the day, around my eyes my skin seems to be darker, very slightly (not like brownish coloured bags) and my face seems to always be pale in colour, even though my skin colour is slightly tanned.
When I go on night's out it's really bad, I am borderline as white as a piece of paper in photo's.

I have been advised by friends to see about buying a mixture of different products ranging from Bronzer creams all the way to eye whitener drops. These are short term fixes and not really what I was looking for but I might give it a go if I have exhausted other options.
I believe in long term solutions instead of short term fixes and that is why I took on the challenge of completing my lifestyle goals.

So, I go to bed between 12am-2am because I talk to my friends from all over the world late at night (this is something I probably should change). I normally get out of bed between 12pm-1pm, giving my at least 8 hours sleep because I wake up during the night on most cases. (yes I do have a job I just work in the afternoons and race weekends, I work for McLaren F1 racing).
I eat a reasonable amount each day but I don't think I eat enough, since I have a high metabolism.

Now I'm not saying that I don't look good naturally, I'm just saying like with anything, there's always room for improvements. In fact, I look more like in between a young Mark Webber/Jenson Button (I get told this a lot).

I mean, should I be going down the line of protein shakes (since I have a really high metabolism) or looking at improving my diet or sleep patterns. I'm not sure. And what do you make of the products some of my friends have advised me to buy?

My intent when getting into this wasn't solely on getting women. Instead, it was about fine-tuning my life, my mindsets, my social awareness, my fears; overcoming them all and just having fun and in the process of doing this I'd also be approaching girls and progressively getting better at it.

So it's not that I think me not looking awake is such a hindrance, it's more the fact of I'm wanting to sort that problem out and look better/healthier as a life goal that is crossing paths with the goals I have for PU.

Thanks

Drink ALOT of water... Lay off caffeine if your intake is high. And yes... keep your protein intake high. Whether you lift or not (I would suggest working out... People who work out have more energy than those who don't and you will also sleep alot better.) having a good protein intake will keep you from looking malnourished.

I'm a tea drinker, never coffee. However starting from last night I vowed to stop drinking tea (this is a biggy because I'm from North England; tea is like a gift from the Gods to us!)

I have 3-4 meals a day, 2 eggs most days, chicken every day, sometimes beef. Fatty foods as well since I'm quite skinny from my insane metabolism, yet I hardly put any weight on. My friends get pissed off when they see how much I eat compared to how skinny I am (I'm in between skinny/athletic body type).
Could you recommend protein shakes and powders for me? - I have no idea what to look for.

I should work out, this is something I will probably start asap. I have 3 puppies so I take them on big walks 2 times a day and my housemate takes them in the morning. I also play football occasionally but yes, working out is an option I will take up.

Whey Protein in the morning as soon as you wake up and also before and after you work out...

Eat 8-9 times a day. It's annoying as fuck to do but nutrient timing is KEY for building muscle. You can't let your body slip into a catabolic state (where it is starting to feed off your muscle)

Eat every 2- 2 1/2 hours. Add 1000 calories to your current diet. Space that out over 8-9 meals. Balance your carb/protein/fat ratio at 40%/40%/20%. And eat whatever you can ontop of that. The more calories you take in, the more weight you will gain. Check out bodybuilding.com for some good weight gaining work outs and diet examples. Ideally, you want to spend LESS time in the gym. Just activate your muscles. Lift heavy and keep your work outs pretty short. Stick with mostly olympic style lifts to hit your major muscle groups (deadlifts, squats, bench press, military press, rows... that type of shit. Don't worry about hitting the micro muscles. Just make sure you have good form with compound lifts) and make sure you rest as much as you can. Literally... just sit still as often as you can. NO DRINKING EITHER! Alcohol kills testosterone which is absolutely necessary for muscle growth and repair. I used to be a personal trainer... If you have any questions about anything, ask me and I can help you out.
