I was wondering whether or not I should add tea to my diet. I honestly do hate tea, but whenever I'm sick I'll tough it out and drink lots of tea. Does anyone have good articles about tea? And does anyone know the actual real health benefits of tea? I have probably 5 or 6 pounds of green tea. I wanted to actually start putting some of this tea to use. Any thoughts?

Believe it or not normal tea is supposedly good for speeding up metabolism (having it with food helps you burn the food quicker).. ive heard its good for cleaning your system out.. Whether thats entirely 100% true i dont know. Ive also heard its good for the heart. i cant remember the sources but people have told me half of what i know about tea.

Green tea however; ive just started buying this stuff because i was told by a relative its a good detoxifier and helps you to lose alittle weight. Im guessing it does the same as normal tea but perhaps more.

Id try it and see if you see any effects as im doing.

Ive got some links but i cant post them SPAM.

If it prevents cardio vascular disease tho im all for the stuff.

For some, tea is an acquired taste, kinda like coffee. I've always liked it.

All teas, particularly green tea, are loaded with antioxidants, and can help cleanse the body.

I like the relaxation teas, particularly ones with chamomile. It's kinda like Zoloft in a cup.

If you smoke or indulge in anything "bad" for you, have a cup or 2 of green tea and I guarantee you'll either cough or sneeze shortly after it. This is how you know it's working. Similarily if you eat some fruit or a smoothy you will 9/10 times sneeze afterwards. Again, this is your body being cleansed. I highly recommend drinking green tea often. Green tea is not an excuse to indulge in anything "bad" for you also because it just won't work in that way at all.

It can also help you burn calories.

Tea of all types contain caffeine. Caffeine is supposed to be diuretic. It increases urination. It may also interfere in movement of fluid from one cell to another in some form.

Health benefit is that when your digestive system is packed up, tea helps in clearing the mess. It elevates mood as well by extracting water and other nutrients from food. That gives immediate energy boost. A person who takes tea for the first time can feel highly energetic for 24 hours.

Tea is best for health and has lot of benefits. I like to drink green tea because it is a herbal method of fat burning. It is good for skin. It is best for high blood pressure. I drink it regularly.

Green tea is really the only super good tea for you. Extremely high in ECCG which new uses for it are being discovered daily but include: reduced blood pressure, chance of heart disease, lowers risk of alzheimer's and parkisons, its even theorized to be the key to curing alzheimers but thats still unconfirmed.

Also a study showed it helped with fat oxidization which in layman's terms helps burn it when doing exercise but also raises your metabolic rate which is the rate in which your body burns calories, essentially.

You'll find most thermogenics and other fat burners contain some sort of Green Tea extract. When I was 330 pounds out of high school before I enlisted, when I started losing weight rapidly,30-50 pounds a month, I didn't become as sick as I should of with all the harmful toxins released from the burning of fat because the detoxifying purifying effect of tea (that and well when you consume a large amount of tea you consume a lot of water which helps purify the body as well).

I guess to sum it up, the health benefits of Green Tea are amazing and though I don't drink as much as I used to, I am always drinking pure green tea: stay away from the decaffeinated shit and the stuff with other teas added into it. Plus, take it warm with the tea bags, not like snapple or things like that because you need to actually take in the small amount of leaves that blend into the water when you put a tea bag in it (do not eat the bag or cut it in anyway...trust me....).

Others might as what about other teas? White/oolong is not bad but no where as potent, the others lack the basic make up to even match Green. All in all, Green is King.

Hope this helps!

Tea has a lot of beneficial phytochemicals in them, but not all teas are equal in that regard. Generally speaking, the lower the caffeine the higher the phytochemicals and vice versa. Green tea is the middle of the road in that regard.
