#1) bio-electric shocks?
This happens on the "up" phase of a rep in a arm exercises. It feels like a localized electric shock usually in the forearms. Its feels kind of like a pinched nerve, but more localized and more "jolting".

#2) sporadic contraction.
Even on rep #1 on some random sets, my muscles do not contract evenly during the up/down phase of the movement. It contracts in tiny little incremental steps, sporadically, producing an almost vibration effect. It is not due to the muscle being fatigued, and it can happen one rep and not happen the next.

#3)Phantom contractions.
After i have finished my workout and am laying on the couch/cooking supper some of my muscles( mostly triceps, biceps, pecs), usually the ones i had just worked out, will start to contract on thier own. They will contract for 2-3 seconds, and relax and do this about 20-30 times. It is not painful and is not similar to a cramp. They simply contract and relax before my eyes without my control or consent.

I dont know about #1, but #2 is certainly normal and nothing to worry about. I get it occasionally, used to get it more often than i do now. #3 i don't know for sure, but if it's not hurting or anything then it doesn't seem like a problem

I'd recommend seeing a doctor, dude. If you're really worried about this shit, then online isn't the place to do it. A doctor would be a better resource than the internet.

yes and no depending on whats going on. some people powering through it is going to get them hurt... the correct method should be lighter weight / higher reps to build the tolerance of that muscle and slowly increase weight in time... gotta listen to the body

#1) bio-electric shocks?
This is common when going heavy with weights, usually you get the shocks somewhere around the back of your elbow. Might need to lower weights.

#2) sporadic contraction.
This is probably due to bad MMC (muscle mind connection). The longer you train, the better your MMC gets, to the point where you can easily contract every inch of every muscle in your body without weights.

#3)Phantom contractions.
This is caused by an excess production of neurotransmitters. This is typically when you haven't been working out for a while (a couple of weeks) and go back at the gym and give it your all. Can also occur when training too frequently.

Hope this info was useful :)
