eat and eat. nothing but eating first to hit the ideal weight then to the gym to build muscles

I would make sure you are eating high protein, with healthy fats (avacado etc) and lots of complex carbs (brown rice, sweet potatoes etc.) and when you workout do less reps with more weight..if you are doing a ton of cardio you will prob drop weight so just limit cardio to like 15 min sessions and focus on weight training exercises...bike, free weights, abs, etc Hope this helps... :D

I don't know why no one else has said it yet, GOMAD! GALLON OF MILK A DAY! I'm dead serious. If you're serious about gaining weight and you are a hard-gainer drink a gallon of milk a day and just drink throughout the day. 2 glasses at a time is what I do.if you're working out at the gym often you won't get that fat. Muscle burns more calories also.

Google the "STARTING STRENGTH" program by Mark Rippetoe. I was 179 in May. I am now 194. I have gotten leaner and more muscle. I look good with my shirt off.
