hey, i was just wondering how all you guys keep motivated?

i usually just look at old pictures and remember that i don't wont to be how i used to (a fatty) and then that motivates me to workout.

please add the ways you keep yourself motivated.

really though, nobody but yourself can motivate you. find purpose in going to the gym. what you should NOT do is go for pick up purposes. If you work out to look better for chicks this is a recipe for disaster. the first time it doesnt work you will be down on yourself and quit. using muscle gained or fat lost in the gym as part of your game is a big time plus, but find personal reasons to lift. such as that video.

have dreams and goals and plan to meet them.

or think like me... "you better lift today you f_cking pussy. stop being a little b_tch"
i say that over and over again in my head until i finally go.

Ok, first of all, I just made the decision to work out EVERY mon-wed-fri at home, doing bodyweight pullups, squats, pylos, burpees, etc. and my usual way to never miss a workout is to get it into my head about two hours before I leave the office that I need to make sure to drink water, eat and just get ready in general, because the fact that I WILL WORKOUT is a decision that has already been made and is not up for discussion or debate.

But, a few weeks ago I came home from work on a workout day and was not in the mood at all and started finding excuses.

What did I do?

Don't laugh, but I put a porn film in the computer and watched a few minutes of a woman that meets my optimal standards of appeareance having the kind of sex that I prefer, without masturbating.

Don't laugh, really, this works like a charm.

If you don't masturbate, your test levels will feel like they go through the roof, you'll feel a surge of adrenaline and you'll think--the last time I fucked a really hot girl, it was so awesome because I knew that I looked good naked, as good as she did and she enjoyed watching me fuck her in the mirror near my bed as much as I did. I wasn't a fat PUA who gets laid because he can talk, I was and am a very fit PUA who can talk and looks "normal" or maybe athletic in his clothes, but is so ripped and sculpted that the women always do a double take when I take my shirt off.

Being in that kind of shape helps me with my inner game because I know that it isn't bullshit when I think to myself "I am the prize." or "any woman would be happy to be with me."

That's something that I don't want to loose, so I work at it, because you never know when you are going to meet a hottie and I always want to be prepared.

If you're not in shape, watch the chick getting wild on film and think to yourself: "Someday the opportunity will come for me to get crazy with a girl like that and I want to feel good about myself doing it."

And remember: just like there is no time like now to start meeting women, there's no time like now to get into shape.

hes right though in the sense that porn will jack your test levels up.. but i dont see how that would make me want to lift. it seems that it would make you want to get some pussy, not go lift.

going to a gym is effective also, as opposed to working out at home. because for most people if they drive all the way to the gym, theyre going to work out. so all you have to do is force yourself to drive to the gym on lazy days until it becomes routine to lift on your scheduled days.

You are right, hucker--going to the gym will ensure that you work out because of the lack of distractions, the peer pressure from the other people watching you and the thought: "What the hell am I doing in the gym if I am not going to work out?"

The problem for most people is, however, getting into the gym in the first place and the fact that you have to drive there, someone else may be using the power rack or whatever you need and the opening hours or rush hour could be powerful motivatiors to not work out.

That is the reason why I work out at home. I can do whatever I want, whenever I want, in whichever clothes I want and don't have to worry about waiting for others or them waiting for me to use equipment.

I can also trick myself into working out, like the other day when I came home from a seminar for work and was wasted. Instead of my pylo workout, I convinced myself to do a few sets of pullups, then decided to do a "simple" workout of pullups, dips, bodyweight squats and calf raises and ab wheel. I just did one set of each exercise in a row with 30 sec between sets for a total of four sets of each exercise and got a great workout.

On that day, you wouldn't have gotten me into a gym if you had put a gun to my head, but I was eventually able to fool myself into going into the corner of my bedroom for pullups and then add a few exercises to hit my entire body.

Working out at home is kinda like bringing a girl to your house to give her a tour so it won't be so strange to her later and she won't be so nervous about comming back after the date . . .

What motivates me is the fact that all my friends have scored, and not me. They all fucked ugly chicks though, and I'm trying to get with a HB 9 or 10 for my first time. And the fact my friends think they are good at pick up.... Which also makes me laugh cause they aren't.
