I can't stand diet sodas.
They seem like the epitome of redundancy.
I mean, yeah, in a way it's soda...but... there's nothing in it.
Just cleverly disguised artificial taste-whateverick, to make it seem like you're drinking soda.
Why not stick to just water ?

If you're to reduce weight
Why not take 20 push-ups 1-3 times a day ?
Get the muscle-groups up and going,
Maybe do stairs instead of elevators.
Eat a little less saturated fat, cook your own food.
More vegetables, less starch, less refined sugar ?
Less units of Alcohol, (and fuck off with that Lite beer, that to is just a product to wank you a little. Why not take a few weekends off alcohol, get your metabolism working again and then get drunk on half the amount you would need with continuous practice.)

Caffeine isn't really good for your neurochemical balance, and by that I mean it tends to get people wired and nervous, anxiety etc.
even paranoia in some cases.
So, if you're going for losing weight, or keeping your ideal weight. eat regularly, (eat by the clock, your body is a creature of habit) eat smaller amounts, but more often (which will allow your stomach to reduce it's size, since it has a steady input of energy, but not huge amounts that stretch the maximum with of it (picture a balloon that is blown up really big, contra one that isn't blown up very large, but rather more often to a smaller max size. and imagine your stomach working in pretty much the same way.))
5-6 meals a day, and after a while you'll notice that you get hungry right around the times you're supposed to eat (say, every day at 11 am you get hungry for lunch, after regularly eating a meal every day at 11 am for a week or so)
That and making sure your body is hydrated at a more or less stable level (when your piss is clear, you're well hydrated and your body will be able to function at it's optimal.. yellow to red is bad, and mean you need more water )
