really looking for opinions on the lifestyle of being in the armed forces, preferably united kingdom, as this is what im looking quite seriously at doing
things like the social life, adventures you get to go on, the perks of the general lifestyle, aswell as the downside (lack of freedom?)

Sure there are adventures, but it's a job 24/7. And the job that doesn't give you any freedom what so ever. In and out of the job.
Also, in my experience most officers are really family/serious gf oriented and are not interested in pickup.
And I don't get more girls for having military rank or even bother to tell stories from that time.
You know yourself the best, and if you think it's good for you, just go with it. _________________ I have to return some videotapes...

But, im not considering becoming a soldier but a RAF pilot, and ive already decided this is the only way id join
thanks for input _________________ I refuse to let fear be a problem

What I've found is that military women are generally more loose (and likewise less loyal) than their civilian counterparts. Civilian women around military bases tend to work game on servicemen, hoping to get married and get access to medical benefits. Many of these women are more familiar with military marriage law than the soldiers themselves, and end up getting the unit to force the soldier to send her money every month even though she moves away fucking other guys.
Civilian women away from military bases can be attracted to the mystery of the armed patriot, but it will fade away quickly if she discovers that you do anything other than kick ass and take names. If you choose to lie about your profession, you will become a pariah among your comrades.
I have never used my service to pick up women, even though after becoming somewhat decorated it has been very tempting at times. _________________ Easy

I dont use it to pick up girls. If they ask what i do, I tell them the truth. there no point in lying about it. dont join just to pick up girls. thats just stupid, join if you really want it for yourself. but with the traveling and places i been to does give you some DHV stories, but dont rely on it to much. i hate it when guys goes up to girls and forcefully make them listen to there sea stories and shit like that. Its just another job. think of it that way. Try to stay away from other military members. Thats like dating in thew work place but with more sever reprocusion. _________________ "Live life to the fullest, never look back, remember No regrets" J.f
