Title says it all; living in a country and at an age where getting drunk is the only way to have fun to the vast majority of people, how am I supposed to get in with the crowd?

woah buddy you dont need to drink alcohol

in fact i hate alcohol and a lot of my freinds can just down big amounts of alcohol

i can't

FIRST thing you need to do next time you at a party

walk up to any set of females and

OFFER up some FREE FUN ENERGY

like "HEY! Hows it Going!"

(say it loud and proud)

you've just opened a set if a girl replies

Duke is right. You really don't need to drink to fit in. As long as you're fun and sociable, you should be fun. In fact, it's really unattractive when someone is flat out falling down drunk.

I used to drink a lot but now I have cut down to almost nothing, I've noticed that my game has become so much better since, you never have stupid distractions or lose control. If you feel that you are outside the "clique" if you don't drink, order things like tonic and lime, most people who had a few can't tell it apart from gin & tonic even if they tasted it.

When I was bodybuilding, I never drank and was completely against it and in college one night my roommates had their usual weekly party and I absolutely refused any drinks or anything. I got mega praise for standing up for my beliefs and not giving into peer pressure. I was even more ballsy because I was the only one in nothing but boxers hahahahaha.

I drink now and still have fun, drinking or not, you can still have fun.

Maybe try having a few red bulls? It'll give you some energy and get you a bit fired up.

Really whenever you're out you just want to be slightly hyper and full of energy though. Learn to enjoy yourself, and for others to have a good time around you, without you needing alcohol as a crutch

People get drunk as a way of relaxing and having fun. (Or at least, I do)

So, so long as you are relaxing and having fun, you won't have any problems fitting in.

Just be prepared to find your friends really annoying towards the end of the night.

I drink perrier from the bottle all the time and it is a DHV for most set I open.

It communicates a lot of good things.

I rarely drink when i go out at first because due to being on call either whilst out or as soon as i get home being a retained firefighter now i almost prefer it.

If people ask i usually just DHV with the Firefighter line however there's plenty of things you could through in like you're training for a run for charity or something like that or maybe for the bold and timed right "someones gotta drive us back to mine"

i prefer not to drink on nights out, i enjoy a few and some nights i do drink abit and get drunk or tipsy espec if its a big night like...like a birthday or a leaving party or something, i dnt drink every weekend for many reasons

health and fitness (i enjoy going gym and don't want to go gym with a hangover or drinking 100's of calories)

money (it costs alot in some places to drink and to drink every weekend, then you can just drive home)

control (when you have 3-4 it can calm nerves, but when you get drunk you'll slur on your words, and make a idiot of youself, if your sober your in controll and should be easier to pickup women)

let your mates know these reasons, still go out, just be prepared to find your mates annoying towards the end of the evening.

You don't have to drink mate, people respect differences if you are confident in the choice you've made.

Not a drinker either and will admit this can be a problem. Just another minor obstacle to overcome and learn to use. I'm sure it'll work to my advantage in the long run.

like anything...

It's only an issue if you make it one, or think it's one

Since it's isn't, it's not

Hey, I don't drink AT ALL, never have and probably never will. All of my friends drink/smoke/ect. at parties and I never do any of the above, but I am pretty much always the life of the party. Alot of people have the right idea, it isn't a problem unless you make it one.

Every once in a while people try to get me to drink or smoke and I'm just like "nah, im good", then we are on to the next thing. So really, just don't let it bother you, don't even think about it and have a good time.

If you do start to feel nervous though and you really can't handle people getting on your case, get one of those red cups and fill it up with juice or water and no one will know the difference unless they like stick their nose in your cup. I say red cup because I am guessing you mean house parties, but really applies to any general party situation.
