This. I like to keep all those matters a mystery and unravel them over time with a girl. Also agree on the outdoors "date" ideas.
Another thing that can work is to just have the girl tag along with you on whatever you happen to be up to on that day or night - even if it's as unbelievably mundane as picking up clothes from the dry cleaners. It shows that you're not trying to put on a show, and that you don't think it's a big deal to be hanging with a hot girl, because it isn't.
