Hey, i am learning to play piano, jazz-piano to be exact. Just wondering though, is being able to play an instrument well going to help me on my PU? Or will i come off as nerdy et.c? (I heard that girls' tend to be more attracted to men who can play instruments, then them who can't. Though where i live it doesn't seem to be that way, since it is very rare to find people who appreciate good music here...)

two, even if it was nerdy, who gives a fuck? why should you care what people think? just do what you truly want to do, and whether people like it or not, that's their problem, not yours. you just keep doing what you want to do 24/7

I play guitar, harmonica, and some piano. I used to play alto sax in high school. Chicks dig musicians. I am what you may call "guitarded" (a gifted guitarist) as I have been playing 15+ years. I like to play "Wild Thing" by the Troggs on guitar. It is a simple chord progression and gets girls wet, especially if you can sing it too. I heard Jimi Hendrix used to play it to get girls too. A really really simple piano progression is "Lean on Me". It's a major chord progression that is easy to learn. Plus it is an uplifting song.

Don't discount your musical abilities. Although, the late great Kurt Cobain (of Nirvana) said "I just can’t believe anyone would start a band just to make the scene and be cool and have chicks. I just can’t believe it." He was a great musician but had some problems. (RIP)

Have fun with music, just don't take yourself overly serious. That's my experience.
