I just got hired for a new job and I will be starting my new job in two days. I would like to know how should I innitiate conversations with my manager and new co-workers. what topics should we talk about? i would like to make a great first impression and get to know everyones names and how long they have been with the company. Also, I really want to get to know my manager on a professional level so I can progress up and higher into the company.

I managed to differentiate myself on day 1 by going around the office and introducing myself to everyone. Based on what I've now seen after working there for a number of years, no one does this!
Stand out from the crowd, make sure that everyone that you might work with knows who you are.
