Looking at getting my motorbike license soon, once I've got the cash. I'm just wanting to get peoples opinions on the best starter bikes - keeping in mind that here in Australia there's limits on engine capacity - pretty sure its 660ml. Need something thats suitable for a lot of city driving, and also a bit of driving on the freeway as well.
Suggestions?

Everyone I know that got a 250, changed it the following year for a 600.
Go for a sports-touring, Kawa just got a 400cc out, you'd have slightly more power while not anything scary.
IMO, I'd go straight for the 600, Honda's CBR600 are solid bikes and are pretty good looking.
If you were looking for a custom bike, I can't help you with those.

Vroom, vroom.... it was way cool.. I rode it a few times, and several times got the "Hey nice bike".
