I just joined the gym and the difference in how confident and good you feel about spending your time doing something productive is amazing. Id say something physical.
Being in the gym is quite often psychological, knowing your doing well, trying to improve yourself, so it shows by your confidence in your character.

I started bodybuilding a while back and found that hugely addicting. The change in diet made my brain a crapload sharper. Amazingly sharper. And the improvement to my memory was staggering too. The change in the way I felt mentally was addicting, and the fact that every week I was noticeably better physically was so addicting that the obsession eventually became a time/calorie controlled eating disorder. Could never miss a meal, or get the ratios wrong. Ever.

Just don't go too crazy with it and bodybuilding will be the thing for you.

Reading is really good. But now I have not much time to read a book.

You could download and listen to audiobooks. Personally I consider it cheating, but if you're too busy then maybe it's the thing for you

Great way to keep the brain active, once you crack the formula to succeed in games of sudoku (which took me a while, it's annoying at first) then you'll be hooked and it keeps your brain working. Or you could always try brain training on a DS?

They're good in terms of keeping your brain active, and generally being aware of basic maths and knowledge, they can't be bad for you, put it that way.

Yeah, they certainly aren't bad for you, but at the same time they don't actually improve your intelligence. You will get better at the tasks you're doing in the game, and you might perceive this as improved intelligence, but studies have shown it does not transfer to other applications. You've literally just got better at the specific brain-training task: better through practice. We get better at doing things the more we do them - including pick up ;)

It is quite hard to improve your intelligence, and it depends on what you define as intelligence. Even IQ tests can be trained, and you'll get better at them the more you do them. If you want to be a more interesting person, or a person who is perceived as intelligent, generally you'll want to read more, study more, etc.

Personally I believe the development intelligence comes from your education really, and how much interest you take in general knowledge, knowledge can be developed though, and I believe the best way is via reading.

The gym is a very good hobby which will benefit your looks, confidence and overall health thus your game.

I do krav maga which is a very good hobby to take part in research it online if you dont know what it is.

I think guitar would be a very good thing to learn aswell as reading for obvious reasons.

I think the best 2 hobbies in the world to help you maintain a healthy life style would have to be

- Reading

- Working out

Both give you amazing results, and help you to have a better overall lifestyle.

There is a book I recommend with all my heart:

"My uncle Oswald" - by Roald Dahl.

It's good fun to read, plus it's right up the PUA-alley. Enjoy!

READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's no better treat for your mind than reading. You learn new things by reading, you have more things to talk about, and you will even improve your writing skills. Also, the more you read, the better you read, and the better you read, the more you read, and the more you read, the more you learn. You see where I'm going with this? Reading is the biggest and cheapest investment you can make for yourself- it's the investment of knowledge, and we humans are nothing but the sum of our knowledge. Now, go pick up a book and read.
