Did you go to school for it? Is it something you like doing? I am having trouble finding my passion for what I want to do for the rest of my life. I am coming to the end of my college career at the end of the year and am curious to see if I can really just navigate myself to find that passion before that deadline comes.

We live in the wonderful Google era where we can find information on literally everything.

You just gotta keep searching for what your passion is, if you haven't found it yet.
Talk to people that you admire or are successful in your eyes.
Or maybe you need to take a break after you finish and do something else, "find yourself" by traveling for eg, I know experiencing new locations and situations has helped many others put their lives into perspective, or even open up new opportunities.

I have been using good old google and have placed this question in its search engine many times. I have planned on taking a break but the problem is getting the money and what to do with student loans, etc. Eh, I am just going on a rant now, but thanks for your reply!

Hey what are good at?

Are you keen with having a good lifestyle while earning money?

Many young people now earn online.

Find your niche and learn the basics of online business- that's if online business is what you want to do.

If you were able to get a student loan, you will definitely find something to fund a start up business.

Research and experience to be honest. I don't know how the college system works over in the States, but in the UK we have career advisors etc. who have all sorts of clever systems on their computers which you can input data such as likes, skills, career ambitions, type of work wanted to do etc., and they chuck you out a load of ideas. Go and speak to some career advice people at the college - I'd be surprised if you don't have some.

Then once you've got that, you need to research. Read up online first - cut out anything that doesn't sound like you at all. But often don't be too picky. Some people just know what they want to do. But others do something they're 50/50 about, and end up loving it. But talk to people in the profession, see if you can get some work experience at the sort of job you want to do.

Remember as well that you're young. You can change careers. I'd say that if you have to spend lots of money on a post graduate qualification (like paying to go to law school or something), you should be sure that's what you want to do. But if you just go out and get a job, and end up not liking it, you can quit and try something else and you've not lost anything; rather, you've earned some money, got some experience and ruled out one career path you don't enjoy.

Also, decide what you mean by passion, and in what way you want passion to be in your job. 'Passion' for a job is often very different to your 'passion' for your favourite sports team. You can get a buzz in all sorts of ways; what makes you tick? Some people get a buzz from getting a million pound contract with a big supplier, some get a buzz from helping a client in court, others get a buzz because they're working with animals or when they see a young kid understand the theory they're trying to teach. Really, I can only tell you what gives me a buzz, not what will give you a buzz. You can only find out what gives you that buzz by going and experiencing some of it.
