Hello everyone,

after a long year of grief and sorrow from losing loved ones and the end of a 7 year relationship I have decided to start thinking and doing staff for me. So I have been in 2 relationships since I was 17 and now I am 30 so I never enjoyed the joys of having different women every so and then so I guess its time to get up and try while its still time. Here is what I did:

1. Bought grooming tools: electronic toothbrash, hair nose trimmer, beard trimmer
2. Added 15 pieces of new clothing into my wardroab
3. Joined the gym of my workplace and eat alot of food to gain muscle especially since I am currently underweight. I am thinking of joining a different gym where no colleagues go and there are alot of fitness classes
4. Created a facebook account and started adding friends and people I know
5. A friend of mine is an interrior designer so she will decorate the appartment I am currently living in
6. Got myself an iphone :-)
7. Started going out 2-3 time a week (but since I have never approached a woman before in my life I usually stick around the people I know)
8. Created a profile on a "meet new people" website but didn't put effort into it yet

So these are the changes made so far but to be honest I am not satisfied with the situation obviously because I haven't pulled any girls yet because I have no guts. I also need to start going out with new people since alot of my friends are now married or just like me unable to talk to women.

Do you have any other suggestions regarding lifestyle changes?

Thanks

This is great!

Don't be disappointed though if you meet some resistance along the way or have some struggle in some way.

good luck :)

My friend I cannot affort to get dissapointed :-) after all I have been through this year I owe it to myself to get up and try every single time. The problem is that I am never in the state of mind to meet new people. You know 13 years in being in relationships just makes you think in a different way. I go out and I forget that I need to get started, get talkative with everyone....I just show up talk to the people I know probably get a few looks from women since I am not bad looking and then go home....I have to get into a different state of mind all day long so I can talk to people...

P.S: I am planning to visit my friend in London in February so thats my first trip as a single...

this is exactly what im going through at the moment. i have been in a very similar siuation too- having been single for the last two years. from what i can understand, what you are experiencing - not being in the mood to meet people is a state of mind. and its usually derived from your old lifestyle. in those seven years you would have created a massive comfort zone that you are unable to change all of a sudden. my advise is just get out there and try some things you never have in terms of Pick up.

That last sentence there shows me that you're already half way there. A lot of people will come on here looking to improve their social lives (both with girls and with people in general) through specific techniques or whatever. They don't realise til later that a big, big part of it is mindset and being in that talkative state. You seem to have realised that, so now it's just a matter of getting there - which is a lot easier once you've realised that is what you need to do! Good luck!

Congratulations! It takes a lot of courage to decide to change your life, dont surrender and remember that the brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something

Good luck, it's well worth it when you get there.

I started personal development 2 years ago and I'm a totally new person for the better. Took about a year to get a real proper social life going. Which isn't bad considering I started off as a recluse and I'm now very social and much loved by many people.

Enjoy the rewards my friend! Totally worth it the effort you'll put in.

Hellz ya! You're doing great, dude! Don't give if you're not getting immediate results.

Keep at it! The more time you put into your life, the more results you'll get.
