My real name, Nehal, is somewhat hard to pronounce, and especially hard to tell someone in a club with blazing music. I wouldn't really mind using a fake name, but the thing is, I don't think I would be able to keep up with using the fake name and the real name together.

Example, I met a girl at a club last week and told her my name was Glenn (that was just the first name to come to mind...), we are planning to hang some time, and I feel like it would be really awkward for her to hear my voicemail say "Hey this is Nehal leave a message", plus I would get really confused in general. Not to mention that girls often want you to add them on facebook.

What do you guys think of this? My name situation isn't too TERRIBLY awkward, usually what I tell a girl is: my name is Nehal...Nay like a horse and hal like a hallway, and they think that's pretty funny, but it also creates unnecessary awkwardness.

I have a buddy named Gopal (I think :S) we jsut all call him Guppy, don't make a fake name make a nickname. Plus embrace the fact your name is hard to pronounce, get them to come in closer, spell it in parts. Things like this can be awesome if used right.

Next time tell them it quickly or quietly so they miss it, then move closer to them or get them to move closer to you. Cheek to cheek whispering in her ear builds insane sexual tension embrace it x

Be proud that you have a unique name. When you tell them your name, say it with pride and confidence. Saying your name with pride can make the difference between them snickering at the name to wanting to know more about this intriguing figure.

Its just something else that can set you apart from all the average people around you. Remember, part of being a PUA is being anything but average.

Yeah it really isn't that big of a deal, your name is fine. I would never go with a fake name though, when she finds out it will really cause her not to trust you.

Why don't you do the whole, horse="Nay" hallway="hal", that way she will catch your name quickly and not forget it. I have an odd name as well and I always associate it with a mental picture in the woman's mind. It's weird, I've had women remember my name months after meeting me, but I can always see them go into their heads for a second trying to figure out what the mental image meant. I find it amusing.
