There are times when I'm feeling great, I can do anything, everything seems to go my way. But most of the time I feel down on myself, unconfident for one reason or another, and I just can't seem to keep the confidence on a roll. Any tips for being on top of your game all the time?

I'm assuming you're referring to the game-related confidence? If yes, then what you simply need is a good source of information from where you can learn how to play the game well (ebooks, the forum, the internet?). And after that you need practice so you can build up some momentum. Mind you, reading just any material might help you a little, but what will actually provide you with the confidence you need is reading the material that you can comfortably execute. If natural is your game and you're learning something else, it won't benefit you much. Many a times we mistakingly think confidence comes from success. But in actuality confidence comes simply from believing that you can do it. You need no past success to back that up (although past success can certainly help).
