Just like with girls you need to hook your audience. You need them to want to kick it with you again. Invite them to something amusing. Stand apart from people so they want to invite you places. Reciprocation is a great way to get things done as well.
Do something small but meaningful for them and then they owe you, so to speak. Don't ever call someone on the but I did this for you, it is just childish.
Just make yourself the guy everyone wants around. That is all I do. I get into 3 of the better clubs where I live free regardless. Sometimes I need to make calls other times I walk in, get stamped and roll through.
It isn't about wanting to tag along, it is about them wanting to be blessed with your presence per se. Be the man. A lot more people know my name than I know. It is just about being the guy they want to hang out with. Your not tagging a long you are there because they invited you.
Networking is the same as pick up, get liked, get contact information, arrange to hang out.
