Is it just me that finds it ironic that a guy is posting about using one of the oldest canned neg that was brought tu us by the most systematic method in the Natural Game section?

Anyhow, that being said, calibration has a lot to do when giving out a neg. We would need a lot more information on it to give a better yes/no on this question. However, her reaction was very playfull and if you didn't wuss out by saying "I'm sorry I didn't mean it " or if you didn't jump her hoop or shit test by reaching over the counter and grabing the food, you are good. She was probably testing your assumed higher status (assumed by neging her) with that.

Negs do 2 things in a nut shell, they lower her percieved value if you talk that lingo and discredit you as a potential suitor when going indirect.

Teasing is similar in nature (busting her balls/pointing her flaws) but with different intent. You want to create attraction here.
