To be honest - I hate the phone call, especially if you're not on a frequent-caller basis with the chic. My philosophy has always been to keep it short and sweet, as I far prefer face-to-face interaction.
But I do have an interesting situation that I've never dealt with before. You call the girl and she is out, possibly on her own but likely with people. It's awkward since it is so loud on her end, and you aren't sure if she's hearing you or even focusing on you.
What would someone do in this situation?
Personally I'd rather keep it short and sweet. If it's too loud and we can't hear each other, I tell her we'll talk later. If however we've set up a date and the logistics are being difficult, I tell her we'll meet at a certain time - and just go from there. Simple. And leaves the door open for adventure and spontaneity.
Thoughts?

Anyway, yeah, just keep it short, and talk to her another time.
