Are you feeling motivated yet? Are you listening to my words properly? Did I light a fire in your belly?

Let out a loud roar. Here, now, in your room. I’ll wait.

Roar!

Have you properly let go? Have you roared from the pit of your stomach and felt like a lion?

Okay good, now we can talk about the soft stuff.

Why soft? Because – smoke man, smoke! Ego is glass, that which cannot bend will break. Be smoke.

True masculinity is solid internally but is immensely flexible, bendable, and adjustable. Why? Because it clings to nothing – no identity, no validation, no approval, no need for anything that I cannot give myself.

Understand now why I always stress letting go? Because. When you cling to nothing, what could possibly be taken away from you?

It’s also the reason my focus has always been internal rather than external. What do I have left to prove to anyone?

Love love love love damn it!

Highly doubt any of you is really practicing love fully.

If you were, you’d be jumping out of bed excitedly. You would be spewing kind words left and right like verbal diarrhea. You’d be surrounded by new interesting friends within minutes, and beautiful, incredible women would be gracing your lives constantly.

to quote Jesus “love your enemies”

It’s no accident that it was central to Jesus’ teachings. It’s no accident that renunciation is a central message of the Bhagavad Gita. It’s no coincidence that one of the 4 noble truths of Buddhism is “cessation of selfish desire leads to the cessation of suffering”.

Selfish desire guys. “me me me, always poor little me”.

You can’t hold onto your anger and find peace. You cannot cling to your story of what ‘these people said about me’ and live in love. You cannot worry about what games other people play and discover your strength. You just can’t. Or as David Deida puts it “Fuck society, I have a gift to give”.

Relinquish your desire for anything in return, stop hoping on for an external validation that will never come.

The only spiritual practice you ever need is the endless cultivation of love.
Love and appreciate everything. Think positive thoughts and learn what it means to generate happiness from within. Don’t tell me you cant – you used to do it effortlessly. Look at your baby pictures damn it! Why are you smiling??

Take a deep breathe and fall back into what you naturally are. Unconditional. Fucking. Love. Unshakable, imperturbable, indestructible, passionate, humorous and loving for the life you life.

Unconditional love!

This really is the sum total of the message. Beyond this point I have nothing left to teach anyone.

If you are ready to give your love, to give your gift, despite being hated for it, then you’re ready for enlightened living.

If you get this, if you understand this, then quit CMP now – and I will love you for it. There’s nothing left for me to teach you. You fully stand on your own two feet and nothing anyone can do can upset or shake you. You’ve graduated.

If it hasn’t clicked yet, then you will keep running on the hamster wheel until you realize that all you have to do is fall in love with life, the world and yourself again, and the rest takes care of itself.

Your fan,
PatAnanda

I get what Pat is saying, and it's a good read. It does make sense, however it doesn't explain the journey just the destination. in the immortal words of Bruce Lee "when you point to the moon, do not focus on the finger. you will miss all the heavenly glory" what you've described is an ideal that is wonderful and is what we all strive for. and I believe that you have very good points. To summarize your post ( and this is my own opinion, we are all allowed to our own perspectives)

Strive to love your fellow man, and do not pine for attention as that is a sign of neediness. instead, gain respect by respecting others. learn to love life in general and enjoy the journey that takes you to enlightenment. for the journey is where you learn, not the destination.
And also be flexible. In Wing Chun, we call this 'moving like water' because it will absorb and deflect all attempts to destroy it, yet can be the strongest substance in nature. It can be strong as ice, flowing as liquid, and hidden like steam. It brings life to all things, and can sustain it when needed. however, it can also take it all away. It can move around obstacles, and tear apart mountains. To be like water is to be strong, flexible, moving and unmoving, evolving always.

Now, as for the love...love is a perspective. Some people love the destruction, and some people love the construction. Love is a very broad term referring to what we all revel in. there is no one type of love for everyone, it is in the eye of the beholder...as the way it should be. So, to sum up this posting...Pat talks in the ideal of love. the love of wanting good for your fellow man/woman and to expect honesty, truth, unconditionality, and well-being. It's the idea of wanted more for people to better themselves and those around them. Which is a great thing, and what a true high value man should feel. It's being alpha without trying, just being. It's wanting more for the group and leading them to it. that's what women love, they don't want a 'chest beating, growling fake alpha' they want an alpha that makes everyone in the group richer for knowing them. They want to be lead, but in the right direction not towards destruction, but towards imagination and construction
.
now, as for the buddhisms “cessation of selfish desire leads to the cessation of suffering”. If you really go into the teachings of buddhism, it does not talk about lowering yourself for the advantage of others. It actually refers to the idea that do not raise your own worth on the backs of others. a true leader of men does not degrade himself, instead he grows for the sake of them. would you have a homeless vagabond run a multi-billion dollar corporation? no, of course you wouldn't. you'd want someone that was educated and experienced to do the job right. That's the point of that. be better and make others better too. do not degrade others to make yourself bigger.

spiritual cultivation comes in many forms. just make sure you have the right teachers/role models to follow or plow your own path. the point of a trail is to get to the destination, it's up to you how you travel on it.

so as you go on that trail, I hope the wind is at your back and the sun warms your face.
