The scene I'm referring to occurs at the 10:30 mark. Going along with the fact that it's a bit unrealistic:

What's interesting is that it doesn't show us what he did! although you can tell that whatever he did was probably impressive. She immediately walks over to him like he's a celebrity or something. She wants him to dance with her... he eventually smiles at her, but it doesn't show anything else. He doesn't seem like the dancer, so I wouldn't expect that he danced with her.

Asking her to have a seat with him wouldn't seem like a great option. I'd probably have either danced with her, or tried to get her towards the bar!?
