The Essential Traits of a Pickup Artist + Creepiness
Being a pickup artist is not easy. It requires ironclad nerves, thick skin, balls of steel, dare-devilish guts and a dose of craziness. Those who lack these glorious, essential traits will not go far. This is not a game for the faint of heart or weak of mind.

PERSISTENCE
If you are socially inept then you must realize that your first 100 - 500 approaches will be hell on earth. You will be met with rejection after rejection. It will be painful. It will be cripplingly awkward. You will experience self-doubt. But if you manage to persist through this miserable beginners phase, then you will eventually gain the skill and will slowly but surely start seeing real result and meeting girls will turn from a painful process to a fun one!

COURAGE
Perhaps the most important trait of all is courage. Meeting female strangers for the first time and attempting to start a sexual relationship with them can be terrifying and anxiety levels can reach those of soldiers about to go to war. One must learn to conquer his fear and this can be brutally difficult.

REBELLIOUSNESS
It's also frightening to go against social norms and take a lifestyle that most wouldn't even dream of. 99.9% of the world doesn't do daygame cold approaches. A pickup artist is breaking the unofficial rules of society, refusing to conform to the masses.

One must not care about what other people think of him or he will be too fearful to do what is necessary to be a successful pickup artist. You see a beautiful girl in a crowded subway station: do you approach her or do you shy away because of nearby bystanders who will overhear every word?

People will judge you but you must be immune to their judgments and their gossip. Here are two powerful mentalities to keep in mind in order to overcome this emotional issue: (1) People will judge you no matter what, so why not just be yourself? and (2) Every successful person has his haters.

A DOSE OF CRAZINESS
Meeting a girl on the street or in a store and then having sex with her is inherently slightly crazy and therefore one must be willing to be perceived as crazy by others.

A DOSE OF CREEPINESS
Taking this a step further, consistently going out like a predator seeking his pussy prey (but creating the illusion of superior coolness and spontaneity) is seen as creepy by much of society: even if you are radically honest with those who you meet, make them feel comfortable, have good intentions, have much value to offer and make people's days better. Nevertheless, the very fact that you do this as a hobby makes you look weird, sleazy and many will judge you as a "creepy sexual predator".

This is why it's essential to hide your true identity as a pickup artist because of the negative stigma attached to the label. One must ideally create a very natural, spontaneous process for meeting women. Nick Savoy once said "If it looks like a pickup, then you're doing it wrong."

I have learned early in the game this mentality: "I DON'T GIVE A FUCK IF I AM CREEPY: as long as (1) I'm not breaking any laws, (2) I make sure the girl feels comfortable at all times and (3) I get laid in the end."

There's some intriguing concepts in your post.
However, if I were to choose on of them, it would be the idea of being rebellious. That's closely related to the bad boy persona, but in reality, it goes much deeper than that, in that it becomes a way of life.

I've had this argument with several people, and a couple of great women as well, that I'm a natural, which couldn't be further from the truth.
I agree, I am a natural, but not in the way of dealing with women.
I was, am, and will always be a rebel, regardless of what society represents to me, and women are only a small part of my life.

I have only told a select few people about this new venture to improve my dating life. They are very supportive. I cannot find myself the courage to tell certain family members and friends due to the social stigma attached, but a lot of them know I am very forward and sociable... I do get the butterflies when I approach women but I see it overcoming stage fright!

Easy for people like myself... take up an instrument and play live / act in front of an audience. Same feeling, but once you perform the nerves go and you love every single moment of it :)

Great post! I get the crazy comments all of the time. It's impossible to not be viewed as crazy if you're not doing the normal shit everyone else does. That's like by definition right? Your viewed as crazy if you don't act "normal".

I usually respond with "Yeah, everyone has a little crazy in them. If I act normal then all I'll get is normal shit."

The hatred..so true. My own family hates on me the most. They try and fit me back in the box I was in back in elementary school. When you gain confidence and start to create a better future for yourself an unhealthy family will try and pull you back down to their level.

Like crabs in a bucket.

That's a great way of looking at it. :)

To be average, do what everyone else is doing. To achieve greatness, you have to be willing to do what no one else is.

Most of approach anxiety happens before the approach and vanishes the moment you open her.

The sad fact is that being a pickup artist is inherently at least a bit creepy.

Part of being a rebel is refusing to conform to the masses way of living but rather choosing your own independent path based on your own logic and beliefs.

I just uploaded this infield video today. It's PART TWO of the hallway approaches I did in the same room:

"So this is a racists club."

@ 5:21 that's hilarious. I loved the delivery. And at the beginning you opened two different girls with the same line in front of that one chick. It's priceless.

That second woman wasn't laughing because it seemed like she believed you about the dead cat. Then she felt awkward and wanted to eject.

Yes. I said that because I felt offended. And she instantly qualified herself to me.

The dead cat story was a true story. But I can see why she felt awkward and that's why she left. Next time I'll keep plowing and she'll feel comfortable. Thanks for the tip.

I've been thinking about recording my infield stuff for the field reports I post. What mechanism did you use to record?
