Im a long time lurker and second time poster.

To get to the point I'm at university there is this girl in my class along with a lot of other girls. I tend to ignore her because she basically told a guy about something one of my friends did and that spread like wildfire. I gave her my number around two weeks ago and she got in contact with me today. She basically calls me out says I ignore her in class, she is very attractive btw. I blew it off saying I don't intend to etc.

Part of me wants to get with her cause she is nice looking.
What holds me back is what she said about my friend in a class full of girls I do want to be discreet who I get with.
She has a bf which she hasn't mentioned to me but I do know

So all in all I guess what I'm asking is how to handle her at university and should I escalate and see how things go?

GIRLS LIKE TO TALK. Even though you may not realize it every girl you've known is talking about everything going on in there life with there friends. Chances are she probably has talked about you with her friends since you are someone in her life now. Texting will not hurt anything just get as far as you comfortly can with this girl(Not familiar with how you deal with girls with BFs) and do not mention anything to her you wouldn't want getting spread around to her friends. HSP your bang on the money! She has been talking about me to one of her friends who I am okay with. She told me she even asked this friend do I like her. I told her I don't know her and that she's dumb. Problem is there could be other targets I don't want to get with this girl and its known.
Usually I don't know and they don't mention their bf's and if they every do tell me I take it as a hint she's not interested in me imaginary bf or not.

You called her dumb or her friend, and was it a joke? From what you wrote I don't think i understand what you're trying to say. Are you saying your done with her and moving on?
