This girl is about a month out of a near 2 year relationship. I've been friends with her for a few months, and been attracted to her for a few months more (we're both at the same college). Luckily, I'm not such good friends with her that I've been friend-zoned, but know her well enough that i could chat to her comfortably in our library (the place she primarily hangs out in).
My problem is that i want a relationship with this girl, and whilst i think there is some chemistry between us, i have no idea how to really make my intentions clear to her or how to escalate the friendship into a full on relationship. I'm a complete novice of the game by the way, with virtually zilch experience with girls.
advice greatly appreciated
EDIT: don't have her number yet

Your new to the game, so you have little experience and probably about the same in knowledge. So at this point you probably dont know one of the golden rules. Its not lying, its flirting. 1st thing you need to do is get her number. Make something up for this. Say something like "a couple friends of yours are planning on throwing a concert for there band next week. Why doesnt she give you her number so you can send her the details on the concert once everythings figured out." Dont worry about having to bring it up later. She'll forget all about the concert soon as long as you dont bring it up. Let me know how that goes adn then we'll take it from there
