The reasons none of us mentioned you texting that message is because it can go horribly or great but the best way to go about things is to STOP talking to her. The only message you should send her is this if you do which I highly recommend you don't send her anything. "Happy birthday, hope all is well." If she wants to say anything to you this gives her enough of an opening, at the same time it keeps you granting her a general statement. NOTHING MORE, or maybe just Happy birthday, but nothing else, more words show more emotion, 6 words shows you care without too much any more shows a lot of emotion is invested in the message.
