Ok so this post is kind of going to be like a book club to discuss : Richard La Ruina's "The Natural How to Effortlessly Attract the Women You Want".

Personally, this is one of the best books I've read because its congruent with my kind of PU, Whilst I can see the value in mystery method, annihalation method, and other various PU styles, I feel like this one just speaks to me personally more.

I like the fact that his style is more natural in that he doesn't use canned openers, it forces you to come up with your own material on the spot rather than relying on something which may not be suitable to the situation like styles jealous girlfriend openers etc (I'm not saying canned openers don't have value, just that I feel this has more value IMO due to the nature of forcing yourself into an uncomfortable position where you with eventually become more comfortable and able to pull situational openers from your surroundings that would work without having to think about it, or even not having to use any kind of opener at all, and just say "hey", and escalate from there. I realise that in his book he does talk about opinion openers etc and also sees the value, but he also notes that situational openers are his most used.

I think the book is structured well, in such a way that it addresses both inner game and the outer situation at once, rather than jumping from one to the other/separating them entirely, and for me this helps in the sense that you feel like you're not being patronised even though, lets face it, if you're reading it you are most likely an AFC (Guilty but learning). It also addresses the "What not to do's" better than other books I've read that will simply say something like "this is what you should do". It's all well and good knowing what to do, but if you have ingrained habits that are "no no's" and the book doesn't give you tangible examples then how would we be aware of them (AFC's in general). He gives tangible examples and encourages you NOT to use his exact words and be congruent with your own personality, which in itself promotes growth not replication.

How do you guys think it measures up to other methods?

This is the first book I read about pickup before I even knew "the game" existed. After getting more familiar I decided to read this book for a second time. I found that this book helped me with my ability to act upon ioi's in a more natural way. I actually think the entire book helped me master the art of drawing ioi's and interpreting them.

His traits of an alpha male have helped me a great deal, along with the idea of never giving the woman "choice". I live by those words now, and have seen amazing results. Also, I agree with the idea that he's not a fan of canned openers. I've read the Mystery Method and love the way that the interaction is broken down into different phases, but the canned material I just couldn't integrate into my game.

If you haven't already watched his "Stealth Attraction" videos on youtube, I highly suggest you check them out. He stresses the importance of the 0-100 attraction scale and kino, and tricks on how to build rapport and move up in the scale almost subtly.
