Hey, I'm going to try this diet after school ends (a month). You already "answered" this but,
- can you possibly gain weight from this? For me, gaining would be eating 3000-3500 calories a day.

You also mentioned that if you workout (strenght),
- you could eat more proteins (nuts)? If I wanna build muscles, I would need about 160 grams of protein a day, at my current weight.

So, are these realistic goals in this diet? I'm thinking, if I wanted to reach that amount of calories and proteins I would need to eat 500 grams of peanuts each day, including vegetables/potatoes/carrots.

Insight please :)

Yo, I read your last thread and half of this one so far. Very informative. It's like a fusion of vegan and paleo diet. I want to make a lifestyle change in regards to nutrition. I need better energy levels and to improve my mood.

Anyways, I will start to build a list of what I can and can't eat, and also what is a better choice between foods in regards to health benefits and nutrients.

Since you advocate eating potatoes and carrots as your main source of carbs/fuel. I was wondering what kind of potatoes are best? Sweet potatoes, how about yams? and you have said to either eat it raw or boil it...Is steaming okay? It should maintain more nutrients then boiling would and it's easier to down. Never eaten raw potatoes before so the thought is a bit whelming.

I want to detoxify myself so I take it there is a stricter list of what you should eat for the first 10 days. Should I avoid nuts all together for that period? How about some tomatoes, beans, green lintels. I'm also thinking of buying vegetable juice like v8 or vega products. I will have to do some research on reliable quality.

I need at least 2500 calories on most days of the week to maintain my mass which I have worked hard to gain. I want to get lean now but don't want to lose hard earned muscle...I eat almonds but I was wondering if it's worth getting almond milk. Never tried it so don't know if it has lots of protein, etc. My goal is to fullfill my macros with very healthy and nutritious food that is easy to prepare due to my busy lifestyle.

If anyone else can answer my questions it will be appreciated and it will answer others who have the same questions.

Lucky! Just finished reading most of this topic. I'm just starting this diet today, although I made my self a few eggs, bacon, sourdough toast, and glass of milk this morning and some pecans for a snack after I ran. THEN I read this topic and ate a raw potato with cinnamon for the first time.... ha ha ha it was a little rough. Planning on eating raw potatoes, carrots, celery, tomatoes and some salad, yuuummmy...
Questions: I read that you can eat eggs, how many CAN I eat? or should avoid altogether?
Avocados?
Is it alright to salt my veggies?
Tuna thats in a can? Ingredients : Chunk light tuna (DUUH!), water, vegetable broth (contains soy), and salt.
Never been diet freak before, I'm not that well informed on what has what in it, but I want to now!

Cheers from a fellow PUA member! Keep up the good work! :D

This sounds a lot like the Paleo Diet which is basically just eating whatever a caveman would have eaten. You can pick up the book called "The Paleo Solution" by Eric Wolff, its a 30 day routine and I did it for 6 weeks.

Days 3-4 will be the worst because you can't eat bread. They found that the receptors in the brain that fire when someone eats bread are the same receptors that fire when someone does cocaine.

Well I have basically deserted this forum, sorry...
I have been busy with life/pua and other shit and this will probably be my last post:

Concerning diet,
FUCK GLUTEN, CASEIN, MILK, DAIRY, MEAT, GRAINS, LEGUMES, BEANS, NUTS, FRUITS, SUGAR, ESPECIALLY FRUCTOSE...

My current diet for the last 5 months have been nothing but:
Water, salt, raw potatoes, raw spinach, sometimes olive oil

It's very hard for me to explain in depth why I eat the way I do and frankly it would take days for me to do so, so I am not going to do it...and believe when I say that I understand anybody who thinks I am a fuckin' lunatic because I know who crazy I sound

What you need to know is that changing your diet will cure social anxiety, panic attacks, depression...

The main causes of this is gluten, casein (milk, dairy), and fructose...
The other foods I said to "FUCK OFF" is for other reasons, mainly energy...

If you are either depressed or socially anxiety most of your life you will need to go on a "diet" journey before you go to a pua journey

My diet journey took 4 years, so.........yeah

I am very happy to say that I am on focused my PUA Journey 120%

Feel free to reply but I will probably not do so in a VERY LONG TIME

Or who knows, maybe I'll do it tomorrow lol

I've been lurking on this post for a while deciding on whether or not I should try this diet. I've decided I'm a do it, and at the end of 10 days ill try and offer an honest opinion from my own experiences. I need a change in my current lifestyle, specially during these dark winters.

A couple of questions if i may.

1)What do you think about sunflower seed oil ?It doesn't contain any gluten,so is it ok or not advised ?

2)Peanut butter,same as above.

Been doing this 11 days already, first few days i had major headaches during the evenings, had MAJOR cravings to eat something tasty, which is why i bought peanut butter.

Been eating pretty much these :

Cabbages,Potatoes,Carrots,Eggs,Meat(Mainly cooked using sunflower seed oil),Peanut butter with organic corn crispbread, fruits(mainly oranges and apples),lots of salads using tomatoes and cucumbers...and that's it.

I struggled with ACNE for 5 years until one day i read an article that Milk is bad for you and since i stopped my life has changed! No acne, much better self esteem and since changing my diet ive never felt better physically and emotionally.

I have been on a semi gluten free diet, but its so hard to cut it out completely. I will up my efforts to avoid gluten and see how i go.
