He's in prison. He will have good months and bad months. My friend was imprisoned in Turkey for 2 years. I wrote to him about once a fortnight because of the stupid rules about letters. Some weeks he would be doing ok, some times he would go for months on end practically dying inside.

Youve stuck by him. He cant ask for much more than that. He's probably just a bit down at the moment.

How long has he been in prison? I hear the first six months really wears on a man mentally.
