I saw her(but I'm not yet sure if it's her because I saw her from a distant, so I check her from a nearer sight) in our activity center doing her project and so I decided to walk near her place, when before I pass her, I was sure it's her but when she saw me walking near her front, she smiled at me before I could greet her.
Is that an IOI or not?
I'm not sure on my part because I know she had a plenty of male friends and I just had speak with her for 3 times before and it don't last for 5 minutes.

or she was just being polite. _________________ 'Bitches aint shit' - Chai

This is why I feel that some IOIs shouldn't even be introduced to people, because they are really hit or miss, there are some much clearer signals of interest.
Though personally id always consider a smile an IOI. Helps to keep things simple. If she smiles at you, most likely she wouldn't mind a few minutes of a conversation and look for other IOIs in that time frame, to decide to proceed or bow out. And if you "feel it" go for it. Life is to short to wonder.

A smile isn't necessarily a wow she is all about me thing, but it certainly is better then being frowned at. It isn't rejection, but it isn't saying she has a huge crush on you. She is attracted to you as a person even if it isn't sexually attracted.
Man there is so much more info you need then that though. Did she preen? Was their head turn? What did she do? How long was the eye contact? I mean body language isn't limited to one action, attraction isn't about one action. You get a whole list of signs and actions, and they all add up to one message.
I would say that you have to learn a lot more about body language then she smiled at me when I walked over, there is even several smiles, everything from the polite smile to the forced smile, to an angry smile, contempt smile, etc. Body language requires so much more then she smiled at me. _________________ Just another guy from back in the day.
